Power Chevrolet-Irvine is located just off the 405 at the Bake Parkway Exit in the Irvine Auto Center (21 Auto Center DriveIrvine, CA 92618) (949) 768-7222 Fax (949) 830-6853

I purchased my brand new $41,000.00 Chevy Z71 1500 from Power Chevrolet of Irvine and asked this dealership, If they could refer me to a reputable 4x4 place. My sales representative stated that all their truck lifts were installed at 4x4 Parts Wholesalers of Irvine, neglecting to tell me that they had an, Unsatisfactory Performance Record for failing to answer consumer complaints and the following below:

*Delivery Issues
*Difficulty Obtaining Refunds
*Overcharging
*Poor Installation
*Poor Customer Service
*Billing Disputes
*Failure to Deliver Ordered Merchandise /Missing Items/ Incorrect Items

A Company Reliability Report on 4WP can be obtained at www.labbb.org.

I sent complaint letters regarding 4 Wheel Parts improper installation, odometer fraud, parts fraud, and major factory warranty fraud. Only a small part of the story along with photos can be reviewed at the following site http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff104095.htm .

On one occasion while servicing my vehicle at Power Chevrolet of Irvine an issue over my vehicle developed over the telephone between the manager of 4 Wheel Parts and Mr. Smith to the point just short of profanity. This opened the flood-gates of inside/detailed information regarding parts transactions between the dealership and 4 Wheel Parts.

In a year, 4 Wheel Parts had purchased hundreds of 1500 series Idler Arms and installed them on lifted/modified trucks with larger wheels and tires stating to customers that they were Heavy Duty charging a total of $291.00. These factory/stock, Idler Arms began to fail under these conditions non-standard conditions at about 6,000 to 9,000 miles. I know very well because I am a victim of this scam. 4WP would replace the worn out units, then state to the dealership that these parts were installed on factory/stock trucks and obtain credit for them. Mr. Smith stated, I realized what they were doing with these parts and I no longer accepted returns.

I ended up filing complaints with the District Attorneys Office Consumer Protection Division, BBB, and the State Agency Bureau of Automotive Repair regarding all the above issues.

I recently reviewed legal documentation, which revealed that staff from this dealership immediately sent my letters of complaints directly to 4 Wheel Parts, writing down specifically everyone's name who had read them directly onto the documents themselves. (wow).

I took a guess when the main supervisor of the State Agency Bureau of Automotive Repair would be visiting the dealership in order to conduct his FRAUD Investigation. I faxed a letter to Mr. Smith stating that his dealership had done nothing wrong in the substantial damages inflicted upon my vehicle and I wished for him to cooperate fully with the B.A.R. investigation.

Mr. Smith had lost his integrity and dishonorably attempted to discredit me to the B.A.R. investigator upon his initial contact. The B.A.R. investigator simply put up his hand and stated, I don't need any of that, I'm here to conduct an investigation. The investigator of the B.A.R audited a full years worth of sales records between the dealership and 4 Wheel Parts.

As I review additional legal documents and subpoenas of 4 Wheel Parts, Mr. Smith also shamefully turned around and sent 4 Wheel Parts the letter asking him to cooperate with the B.A.R. investigation.

Even though 4 Wheel Parts has an, Unsatisfactory Performance Record with the BBB one being Improper Installation, Power Chevrolet of Irvine continued to send their brand new trucks to 4 Wheel Parts for lifts kits, wheels & tires.

I have personally have gone to over two dozen dealerships all over Southern, California pretending to shop for a new truck. When I ask General Managers where their, Aftermarket Lifts are done, they have replied to me, We now do them in house. Didn't you do them at 4 Wheel Parts? GM, Yes, but the were inconsistent with there work, they would do good work one time and lousy the otherwe can't have that in our business. Others have said, We have stopped using them over a year ago because they were more focused on pushing product instead of focusing on quality, we will never use them again.

Power Chevrolet of Irvine shamefully still sends their new trucks to 4 Wheel Parts to maybe be butchered and charges consumers this obscene sticker amount.

Power Chevrolet refused to make appointment for warranty repair

AUTHOR: Steve - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, March 05, 2012

My 2008 Corvette has been in different shops more than 6 times for the same issue.  Today I tried to take it to the closest place to my home (about 5 miles)  and their service director, Fernando Ruiz of Power Chevrolet /Superstition Springs, denied to provide any warranty repair with the argument  that  I have to go back to the dealership were I had the car the last time (38 miles).  According to him I  have the obligation to go back to the same dealership, even if it is almost  80 miles / RT if  the same problem persists.  However,  the last dealership that worked on the car,  does not know what else they could do in order to fix the problem.

I called GMs customer assistance center and they tried to call this dealership. They did not get any response and  when i left a message for Fernando Ruiz,  he would not return the phone  call.   GM  told me to go back to this dealership and when i  got there, he was sitting in his office.   I  talked  to GM  to exchange or  to refund my money but  they won't do it because the vehicle is over 2 years old.  Their answer was:  "we  provide only warranty repair because the state lemon law does not apply anymore"

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 14, 2005

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

April 9, 2005

Re: FTC Ref. No. 485XXXXXXX

Dear Sir:

We are pleased to respond to your correspondence describing your difficulty obtaining warranty performance.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is intended to help consumers with warranty disputes enforce their rights. The Act permits consumers to sue a company that fails to live up to its promises under a warranty. Among other provisions, the Act allows consumers who prevail in suits for breach of warranty under the Act to recover attorney's fees and court costs, as well as damages and other relief awarded by the court. Enclosed is a brochure that explains your rights and responsibilities under the Act.

The Commission's role is to identify those companies that consistently violate consumers' warranty rights and pursue corrective action through administrative proceedings rather than by resolving individual complaints. In addition, we hope the following information is helpful.

You may be interested to know that there are no federal or state laws that require companies to provide a$$istance for problems that occur after the warranty ends. A company's obligation to repair or replace a defective product is limited to the terms of its written warranty. On the other hand, a company must take care of problems that are first complained about during the warranty period, even if the warranty runs out before the problems are resolved. Until the problems are resolved, the warrantor has not performed as promised. It is a good idea to keep a copy of any letter or receipt that shows when problems were first brought to the attention of the company or servicing dealer.

If the company is unable to repair the product, you may have a right under state law to receive a refund, even if the warranty indicates that no refunds will be given. Under Section 2-719 of the Uniform Commercial Code, effective in nearly all states, if a warranty limits the remedy available under it, and that remedy given does not work, the consumer has the right to seek other appropriate remedies.

For example, if the warranty provides that the company will only repair a product, and not provide a refund or replacement, the company is entitled to a reasonable opportunity to repair the product in question. However, if the product is seriously defective and a number of repair attempts do not place it in proper condition, then the owner may have a right to a refund or replacement. You should ask a lawyer how this rule works in your state.

In addition, even if your product is no longer covered by the manufacturer's warranty, it may still be protected by an implied warranty created by state law. All states have such warranties, and they supplement the protection of any written warranty. The most important of these warranties is the implied warranty of merchantability, which promises that a product will be fit for the ordinary purpose for which it is sold. For example, in the case of an automobile, the warranty of merchantability guarantees that the vehicle is fit for transportation. If the automobile is not fit for transportation, the purchaser may be able to revoke acceptance due to a breach of the implied warranty. In most states, implied warranties run for four years from the date of sale. If you are unable to reach a satisfactory agreement for the repair of the product, a private attorney may be able to provide advice on how to enforce implied warranty rights.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Letters such as yours help us maintain an awareness of those problems consumers are experiencing.

Sincerely yours,

Consumer Response Center

4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers Has Terrible Service

AUTHOR: Leon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, March 31, 2005

4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers has terrible service, but continue to buy from them because there aren't many other choices here in Texas.

I have mostly bought Jeep parts from them (lift kit, shackles, detroit locker, solid axles, shackle reverse kit). You would think that they would have Jeep parts in stock, but ALL of the above had to be shipped. They usually charge you extra to have the parts shipped to their store, and more than once they have screwed up my order. Also, more than once they have told me they would have parts for me in a couple of days and it took a week.

As an example of their crappy service, one of the seals that came with my solid axle kit began leaking so I went to 4 Wheel Parts for a replacement. The seal was totally different than the stock Jeep seal so I couldn't find it at a regular auto parts store. After talking to several different guys at 4 Wheel Parts, I was told that I would have to buy the entire kit again which I would have to pay to have shipped from their warehouse in California. I think the total cost was about $200. They couldn't even give me a part number for the seal. I said no thanks, and eventually found a NAPA autoparts store that was able to get the seal for $9.00.

I have been told that they have some knowledgable sales staff, but I haven't met them. After the Interco trXus tires had been out for a couple of months, I asked two salesmen at 4 Wheelparts about them and they had never heard of them! Forget about asking for anything for an Xterra. I bet if I went in the store today they wouldn't know that ARB makes a bullbar for the Xterra. When I asked for pricing a few months ago, I had to give them the part number.

On top of all that, I have read on the board about the problems the a our Club has had getting the discount they were promised.

In short, 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers sucks! I think the problem is that they don't have any real competition. From the look of this website, they'll be ussued Martha Stewart's old cell.

Portland 4WP Store Ripped Us Off Too & Has Unsatisfactory Record With BBB

AUTHOR: Danny - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 25, 2005

Portland 4WP Store Has an Unsatisfactory Record With BBB Also

When I turned 16 my father gave me the twenty year old family junker, as if he already knew that I was going to total it. He couldn't imagine that a year later I'd total it by running into an overgrown d**n deer.

He ended up giving me his truck after that nightmare and I began to slowly build it up with any extra money that I saved. Over a years time I had saved up enough money to add lights and a winch. On my eighteenth birthday my grandparents surprised me with cash and I added it with the rest of my savings and went looking for a lift and tires. The best deal that was available for the money I had at the time was a PRO COMP LIFT & TIRES/WARRANTY.

Everything seemed great until my truck began to drift, I got scared and thought I bent something. I took it to the 4wp shop and they said noting was bent, just needed an alignment. Several thousand miles later, again the d**n thing would drift, so I took it back. I'd over hear my mechanics talk, I can't take it any further, its to the limit, ask him if he wants white out on his tires. The sales guy came to me and told me that the new fad on black on black trucks was to put the white lettering out and he asked me if I wanted it that way for free. I thought that way gay and told him no. They guy said that their alignment machine wasn't working and to come back after a month.

I went home and told my father the story. My father was pissed, they wanted to do what with your tires, white lettering? Which way does your truck pull right now? To the right. We took off one PRO COMP TIRE and replaced it with the brand new spare PRO COMP and my truck pulled the opposite way..to the left.my father way pissedthese tires are crap.they have a pull in them, that's why they wanted to flip them around and have white letters out on a black on black truck.

I and my father went down there with my NO QUESTIONS ASKED TIRE WARRANTY and demanded NEW PRO COMP TIRES. Not only did they refuse to replace these defective tires, they told us to contact PRO COMP directly, it was PRO COMPS PROBLEM. I got on my computer that night and discovered that this store along with many of them had UNSATISFACTORY RECORDS WITH THE BBB. What was really wierd was, that many of them would not come up unless I typed in TRANSAMERICAN AUTO PARTS. We now believe all the posts on this thread from our personal experience and will never shop at 4WP EVER AGAIN. We are going to send a copy of our complaint to the following offices below:

HOW TO PROPERLY FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST 4 WHEEL PARTS

AUTHOR: Matt - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 23, 2005

What 4 Wheel Parts Doesn't Want You to Know. There are several major lawsuits against COOPER TIRE COMPANY, manufacture of my company's 3rd rate PRO COMP TIRES for Personal Injury and Wrongful Death viewable at the following link below:www.gbpwlaw.com/global/layout/index.htm

Don't let my previous company repeat what they are notorious for doing, the bulling and intimidating of people with threats of lawsuits and/or actual physical threats to drop investigations against them. There are several ways to win against them, as in filing a DIRECT CLAIM with 4 Wheel Parts Insurance Carrier.

Mesa AZ Store is Discovered to be a BAIT & SWITCH HOLE That is Completey Infested with DEALERSHIP SALESMEN IN TRAINING

AUTHOR: Cindy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 15, 2005

My boyfriend dragged me along to his truck store, like I drag him along shopping at the mall.

He had Rancho on his other truck and he just loved it. He snapped a part in half and rancho replaced it for free, so he wanted the same thing on his new truck this time as well.

The sales guy went off that rancho was too over priced and the pro comp had won some sema award, whatever that was. My boyfriend was set on buying rancho, for he said it had been out a lot longer and was set to (oem) factory specs meaning that he could even align he truck at a dealership.

The sales-person began to put pressure on him saying and began to spin him around, before he new it, he was laying out a deposit for a $2,900.00 for pro comp wheels + tires and i think a pro comp suspension kit.

That's when I grabbed my honey by his hand and dragged him out of that BAIT & SWITCH HOLE of a place that is completey infested with DEALERSHIP SALESMEN IN TRAINING.

Past Paper Trails Come Alive To Haunt President Greg Adler

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, February 10, 2005

Mr. Adler was (In the Loop) the entire time giving us all specific orders and directions on how to proceed in writing up the above contract in an attempt to release our company of any liability of messing up Jims truck. When our company began to investigated by the State, Mr. Adler disappeared leaving us holding the bag and blamed everything on us with just one of his statements made on the internet.

In regards to customer service, as a big company sometimes are employees may not handle a situation the way myself or my father might. The customer is #1 and we do everything we can do treat them right.

Micahel, please contact me directly at gadler@4wheelparts.com to resolve your tire issue. For anyone else who posted a comment please contact me as well and I will do my best to make it right.

However, this is not true for the immature individual (Jimmy from Irvine) who wants to falsely accuse my father of being a crook. We unfortunately will not deal with someone at this level.

Greg Adler

President

4 Wheel Parts

Greg - Compton, California

U.S.A.

So, you see ELI, if our President doesn't give a d**n about us and leaves us holding the bag, why should we give a d**n about his company and his profits, it's a 2-way street. This is why service is shitty in Austin and service will begin to be poor at every 4WP.

Get this, many of us were embarrassed when customers asked why our company had earned a (D) Grade from the BBB. My boss issued a memo stating that we should reply, We are a high volume business and mistakes are going to be made at that volume, but we will do everything possible to rectify the situation.

Everything possible, even FRAUD.....wow..I need a new job.

This Is Happening Eli Because Greg Adler Has Failed To Keep His Promises

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 09, 2005

This Is Happening Eli Because Greg Adler Has Failed To Keep His Promises To Us, (His Work Force). He has failed to keep his promises of bonuses and paid vacations. When 4 Wheel Parts got to a certain size, we were all due a bigger cut.

The only way that I see for us not to be used as slave labor,

(IS TO GO UNION).

The Marketing Department has worked very long hours building and selling this company to where it is today, not Greg Adler.

The people in the Sales Department have been killing themeselves making 4 Wheel Parts what it is today.

Our store managers are on the front and are told that they have to promote Pro Comp tires and products, which is by the way owned/operated by our company.

ELi, if you thought this was bad, get a load of what is below:

This signage in our parking lot was criticized by a customer for being very unprofessional and that why should he even bother making a complaint.

Instead of my boss Greg Adler listening to the customers rightful criticism and advise, he does the opposite as usual and orders a NEW ONE, which now displays, (Employee of the Month Big Shot).

Do you guys see my company's BBB report above???

Transamerican Auto Parts, Do you see where it says (REFUSE TO MAKE AN ADJUSTMENT (1)) that's jims brand new truck that our mechanics just happened to turn his engine into a grenade BOOOOOOM.

We all got tired of hearing the same ol lies from our managers saying that they put a lawyer on the case and shut this guy up over 6 months ago, because they hadn't. This guy jim was still raising the Dead. So, we went down to the court house to find out the truth.

The case file was over 1,000 pages and they tried every thing to shut him up and they couldn't because he was in the RIGHT and my company was in the WRONG.

We kept on reading through the file and the CEO, the President , and the lawyer all lied under oath and signed some type of papers that they feared for there lives of whats posted on the internet in trying to get a restraing order against him.

For an entire year the didn't fear for their lives, but when this guy just lost his lawyer, BAM...they all fear for their lives which is B.S. It has trickled down through word of mouth that they plan to misuse the law by signing false statements that this guy is stalking all of us, my bosses family, so they can try to lock him up as REVENGE. My opinion, I'll take jim's statement of, "They are the Dukes of hazard Gone Very Wrong."

I even found out today the violations against our company INCREASED from 15 to a total of (19) VIOLATIONS, so they must be really pissed at him, my opinion, don't go around making up illegal contracts to get out of the liability of destroying a new truck that someone is still making payments on....that sucks.

In regards to Austin 4wheelparts. If they want to screw each other over in Compton, fine. But it shouldnt be this way in Texas too.

AUTHOR: Ellisd - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 28, 2005

Jason,

We do have LIVES and JOBS and families along with a hobby called 4 wheelin'. I spent a lot of money at that store over the years only to be disrespected. Among many things, I purchased an ARB compressor that was given to me in a beat up plain card board box(which I shouldn't have left the store without opening). When I get it home I find that it was not "new", and in fact the tank was cracked due to (someone) overtorquing the sealer screw. I called back immediately, and "blank" told me to "come on back, we have another one for you". I drove the 15miles back to the store and I did get a NEW one in an ARB box this time. WHY would you people do that to me?? I wanted to think you people weren't making it a habbit of passing off shabby stuff to me. I later purchased 2 4" ProComp leaf packs, one was painted nice and black, the other was "in the back... let me go find it". When they brought out the other one, it had surface rust on it.

I figured, what the hell, it's steel, I'll paint it anyway. I get home only to find that the leaf retainers are CLEARLY different. One even had a rubber bushings and the other did not. I said screw it and never made an issue. NEXT, I bought an Slip Yoke Eliminator and was "offered" a driveshaft to take home and "test fit". "Blank" told me, "If this doesnt work just bring it back and we will get you the right one" Well, I paid for it($300) and it didnt fit. But I only held it up to measure, never installed it. When I get back to the store the next day, I was told 15% of my $300 would be kept as a restocking fee. WHY?! I had to yell to get my money back. I called Tom Woods after that.

Then, I went back again for some GoodYearM/T's, and I haggled the price because Tirerack.com was cheaper. It was Christmas time that year, and the promo was "Spend $400 or more and get $50 gift cert. back". I was told, "oh that will be mailed to you". I never got it. I called your store again a month later, I get "that promo was for last year". I know that, where's my check! I emailed and called customer service but NO RESPONSE.

So, to wrap it all up, I am looking for tires again and I call you guys last week. Sure enough, I got the ProComp pitch when I called asking for a different brand. Guess what- the price I was quoted was $20 more per tire than you lowest advertised price in your monthly magazine. And THAT, my friend, was $40 higher than a competitor I found.

LOW PRICE Guarantee, huh? ONLY if I do my own research. AND I havent forgotten that its only one promo per purchase- so IF I get the LOWEST price, I can NOT get FREE SHIPPING, FREE MOUNT AND BALANCE and ON and ON. I found this out when I went in for my so called "warrantee".

I stumbled across this thread tonight trying to find out why so many people hate ProComp tires and I found all this and it really brought back recent memories. As far as I am concerned, your complaints haven't reached their max yet, because me and my friends never got beyond the customer service dept, who NEVER replies anyway. I know it starts at the top, but you people seriously need to get it together and try some honesty for a change.

If they want to screw each other over in Compton, fine. But it shouldnt be this way in Texas too. One last thing... E! network- Wild in the Southwest: Devil's Cove I already know who's idea that was..

Jim was manipulated into ordering a Denali instrument cluster that he could supposedly monitor his supercharger temperatures with for a mere $400.00. I decided to reprint Jims entire stack of invoices and download a lot of important data for myself too. Greg Adler has denied completely any wrongdoing at all, even the selling of brand spanking new

(non-calibrated) odometers to 4WP employees, friends, and customers for their leased trucks.

It seems pretty clear to me. And I'm sure its pretty clear to everyone else as well. Stop griping about your "complaints" and start working on your ETHICS there bud. If your store has been a model store without this obvious corporate wide rip off scheme, then you have a right to be angry. But I wouldnt pass the blame onto those that have been ripped off by your company. Pass the blame onto this dealership in Irvine CA. It is not this consumer that is giving you the bad name, its your company, plain and simple.

Make Sure To Read The Fine Print of 4WP "No Questions Asked Tire Warranty"

AUTHOR: Boe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 20, 2005

Even though my company's tire warranty clearly states, (No Questions Asked,) the scam artists at our corporate headquarters specifically wrote it in for us to be able to do just that (Ask Questions).

Even though my company advertises, (No Questions Asked On & Off-Road Hazard Tire Protection Warranty,) my companys contract specifically states, (Tires which have been run flat or abused will not be covered by the contract,) opening the door for us to ask questions. This allowed my manager to wrongfully reject several customer tire warranty claims.

Several of our customers rightfully argued and that our advertisement was, (False and Misleading) for the following reasons below:

1) No questions asked meant what it stated, (No Questions Asked regarding the tires,) or else change the tire warranty advertisement.

2) The title of the warranty, (No Questions Asked) contradicts the terms set forth of the tire warranty specifically, (Tires which have been (abused) will not be covered by the contract).

3)The contract failes to define specifics and limitations to the contractual word, "ABUSED." It is common sense and fact that when a tire is taken off-road and exposed to the various elements, "It is abused by definition." Furthermore, when a truck is stuck and wheel-spin is initiated for the truck to get out of this emergency condition.

During this time, the tire experiences various ranges of heat and vibration, which is defined in the industry as extreme conditions and/or abuse. Another example might be emergency braking which is defined in the industry as extreme conditions and/or abuse on tires.

4) The tire warranty contract also (FAILS) to state for who is to make the final determination that a tire and/or tires have been abused, such as COOPER TIRE COMPANY or an independent entity.

5) FALSE or MISLEADING DEFINED....In determining whether any advertisement, statement, or representation is false or misleading, it shall be considered considered in its entirety as it would be read or heard by a persons to whom it is designed to appeal. An advertisement, statement, or representation shall be considered to be false or misleadingif it tends to deceive the public or impose upon credulous or ignorant persons.

Note: Authority cited sections 9882 and 9884.19 of the Business and Professions Code 9884.7(1)(a) and (h) and 17500 Business and Professions Code.

6) CONCLUSION: My ex-company has marketed an On & Off-Road Tire Warranty that is clearly defined, (False and Misleading) to consumers. My ex-company has failed to fully define the word, (ABUSED) as it is a term used for exclusionary purposes of the tire warranty contract. In failing to define the word (abused), it can NO LONGER be applicable in the decision to whether or not honor a customers tire warranty.

I was unaware of how many customers on ROR have been who have NOT been, (Guaranteed Personal Satisfaction) as Mr. Adler has promised. I couldnt imagine that this kind of stuff was happening on a nationwide level until I got to this website.

Conflict of Interst with 4 Wheel Parts Gold & Silver Warranties

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 13, 2005

I had been a customer at the Tacoma store since the late 90's and I trusted the sales people when they introduced me to their GOLD and SILVE R Bumper to Bumper and Power-Train Warranties for my new truck. They told me exactly, It's basically a power train dealership warranty honored at any GMC center. The sales people continued, You can install any aftermarket lift on your truck and still retain your warranty.

Great I said and ended up paying a lot of money for 4WP's GOLD warranty. After my suspension lift was installed, all my friends & I took our 4x4's out on hard-core trails severely damaging three out of our five 4x4's, mine becoming completely undividable. It was towed to the nearest GMC dealership 25 miles away. My trucks transmission was severely damaged and its differential had chipped at least two gears said the GMC mechanic.

I gave the dealership a copy of my 4WP GOLD WARRANTY and several hours later I was called at home and asked by the service manager, How do we know that your truck was not damaged before you purchased this warranty? I responded, because it was looked at by the 4 wheel parts mechanics. The service manager then responded, 4 wheel parts mechanics are not GM trained/qualified mechanics and there is a serious conflict of interest issue. These Non GM trained/qualified mechanics inspect all these trucks, then that same store sells these warranties that OUR dealerships have to honor, NOT them. The service manager continued, YOUR WARRANTY WILL NOT BEING HONORED BY THIS DEALERSHIP NOR ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP.

I called the Tacoma store and raised hell to only get, Please contact customer service at corporate headquarters. I emailed customer service, tech support, and every other email I could find with absolutely no response. I raised hell with GM Customer Support and later their corporate office to find found out that they stopped selling these warranties from their corporate store.

4 wheel parts would pull their advertisements for their GOLD & SILVER WARRANTIES off their website and out of Off-Road Adventure Magazine as well. I was left with an undividable truck, a useless warranty, a $4,000.00 repair bill, and no response from 4 Wheel Parts.

Several Federal Agencies Such as the NHSTA & FTC Were Unleashed Upon 4WP

AUTHOR: Kevin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 07, 2005

Several Federal Agencies Such as the NHSTA & FTC Were Also Unleashed Upon 4 Wheel Parts including their Business Associates

Jim submitted a complaint to the D.A.'s Consumer Protection Division that has the complete authority/power to subpoena internal documents, initiate depositions, prosecute 4 wheel parts. In addition, the B.A.R's 15 violations have now opened a window for the D.A to ask the court on Jim's behalf for complete restitution along with special & punitive damages. This complaint really upset 4 Wheel Parts.

Jim had a horrible experience with 4 Wheel Parts Pro Comp A/T Tires and filed a complaint with the NHTSA as well. Since 4 Wheel Parts advertises their, "No Questions Tire Warranty" via the internet, they were also subject to enforcement action by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), which jim also sent a copy complaint to their office.

Federal law, specifically the Communications Decency Act, 47 U.S.C.A '230,states that websites are immune from any liability for statements Authored by others. Furthermore, the Supreme Court agreed to hear Troy & Craft v. Cochran, a case dealing with the use of freedom of speech in a public forum.

4 Wheel Parts has been very unhappy about these laws and events. Even the President of 4 Wheel Parts foolishly complained about his ex-customers/victims using, "ALIAS" on their emails; which allowed them to be exempt from being sued by 4WP.

President Greg Adler Then Foolishly Directs Lawyer to Intimidate/Silence Ripped-Off Customer

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 03, 2005

President Greg Adler Then Foolishly Directs Lawyer in Attempting to Intimidate & Silence Ripped-Off Customer

This is the long sought photo of President Greg Adler of 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers given to us by his very unhappy employees. We asked his employees to describe Mr. Adler and this is what they had to say, .Adler is an Umpalumpa gone very bad,. and .Greg and all of his corporate managers look exactly the same, shave the same, dress the same, act the same, and off course are all tiny..

We couldn.t stop laughing and decided to give them a hand in dealing with Mr. Adler.s well documented, .Little Man Syndrome.. Just say this to yourself quietly when you are being abused by Adler, .You can take Adler out of the SWAMP, but you can never take the SWAMP out of Adler.. They broke out in a roar of laugher and so did we.

Jim decided to vigorously exercise his, .Freedom of Speech Rights Regarding 4WP,. which drove the Adler clan absolutely nuts. Despite the posted incriminating 4WP invoices and documents above, President Greg Adler once again foolishly directed his lawyer to legally intimidate & silence yet another victim (Jim) with this letter. The 4WP lawyer

(Salvin) went to the level of calling Jim a Liar by writing, .You Have Made a Great Number of Blatantly False Accusations Against 4 Wheel Parts & Some of Our Most Valuable and Trustworthy Employees..

Jim responded to me regarding this letter by saying, .Not only did they destroy my new $41,000.00 truck, now they have the profound stupidity calling me a LIAR and in threatening to sue me for telling the truth about them.. He continued, .These hillbillies need to be taught a severe lesson by some Rogue Judge and District Attorney.. The sweet justice to Jimmy was the 15 State violations that FOUND in fact that 4WP were the LIARS and that 4WP had been violated for, .False & Misleading Statements..

I remember reading Jim.s very powerful response to 4WP.s laughable letter above. It stated something like, .You have grossly miscalculated your position, as your most valued and very trustworthy employees have committed repeated FRAUD. As no insurance carrier covers their clients when FRAUD has been committed, insurance separation will be instantaneous leaving all legal expenses, special, and punitive damages to come out of pocket.

This is the letter documents the extreme anger of 4WP and Jim.s incredible gift to penetrate any corporation at will, and thrash it repeatedly. The 4WP.s lawyer unprofessionally uses, .Name Calling. in this letter by using words such as, .Sheepishly Hide, Cowardice, Quite Pathetic,. which is a violation of the business and professions code of the California State Bar. I also remember this lawyers pathetic signature, even having other lawyers laugh at it saying, .It.s a Clear Sign of an Arrogant Man, We Have Legal Degrees Too, Big Deal..

Jim had enough of the 4WP.s corporate lawyer's unprofessional conduct such as engaging in the slander of Jim, the blatant interference in the State Investigation on 4WP, blatantly lying in the 4WP.s BBB response to Jim.s complaint, and of course the name calling of Jim in the letter above. This resulted in a formal complaint to the State Bar of California from Jim, that will have this very inexperienced/arrogant attorney walking on pins and needles for the rest of his legal career.

4 Wheel Parts Works Individually With Each Customer To Resolve Any Complaints, Says President Greg Adler

AUTHOR: Kevin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 27, 2004

Please Note: The Following Is Only A Briefing of The Actual 90 Page File. The above authentic invoice states exactly, .The Customer Had To Have Work Done With Other Shops To Get Truck Running,. i.e. improper installation.

The invoice neglects to state that their customer, .Jim. was disgracefully turned away with his non-operating truck and was shamefully told to come back after two weeks when an opening would be available in their schedule. This left the Jim no choice, but to take his vehicle to next-door mechanics and have the supercharger disconnected acquiring an unnecessary $175.00 bill, just one of many. This condition rendered Jim.s truck un-drivable. Jim asked to be reimbursed, which 4 Wheel Parts flatly denied and offered instead, .To Help The Customer Out With Additional Lighting To Make Up The Difference of Money.. Note, there are no 4WP invoices stating that Jim.s truck had been fixed.

Frustrated with lack of service, Jim submitted a $450.00 rental car bill in person to President Mr.

Greg Adler. Greg Adler shamefully replied, .You.re

going have to absorb those costs.. .However, I give you my word that every issue with your truck will be

addressed.. Jim.s primary goal was to get his truck

running again, so he stated that he would deal with Mr. Adler.s shameful business practices at a later time.

Jim had concluded from his own personal experiences and that of reviewing hundreds of filed Internet complaints, .That it is 4WP company policy not to issue any check refunds for any rental car bills along with making their customers pay for all re-shipping costs; even though 4WP were completely at fault.

Please note: These are only a fraction of the documents that incriminated/ violated the 4 Wheel Parts Corporation. In the following 4WP invoice above, the store manager has been terminated and the newly hired store manager along with the West Coast General Manager have been notified by President Adler, to work individually with Jim to resolve any complaints. Having major problems, Jim went out to the Gibson exhaust factory and was told by their representatives, .While this is an excellent exhaust rated at 143 c.f.m., this exhaust system should have not been sold to you by 4WP; due to the fact that it was never designed to handle the massive airflow produced by the supercharger.

Thus, all the tremendous noise and vibration coming into your cabin is a clear indication that unit is not compatible with your system. Jim would later find out that that this employee who was completely honest and cooperated with the State Investigator was no longer employed by the Gibson Factory.

Jim then came back to the manager at 4WP and relayed exactly what he was told by representatives at the Gibson Corporation. Jim stated that 4WP kicked and screamed finally giving in agreeing to take back the non-compatible Gibson and to purchase a new replacement Chevy exhaust. The manager conveniently neglected to refund Jim.s $375.00 spent on 4WP.s non-compatible Gibson; paper trails sure are fun. If a business sells a product that doesn.t work/fit, they must refund the customers money, not at 4WP.

Jim waited over 2 weeks for 4WP.s made promise and nothing. He then called Chevrolet Parts and asked how long it would take to get a new Chevrolet exhaust in from Michigan, parts answered .About 4 days sir.. Three weeks had now passed and Jim decided to take his tape recorder out once again and go down to 4WP in person. What Jim legally obtained on tape was completely outrageous. 4WP was trying to frustrate Jim in order for him to just leave. Well over a month had passed and 4WP management had not exchanged Jim.s non-compatible exhaust system nor refunded his money either. 4WP failed to meet their written obligation.

This is Mr. Todd Macdonald General Manager of 4 Wheel Parts. This photo has not been altered in any shape or form, as a matter of fact, it was provided to us by 4WP.s employees. Our preliminary information suggests that Todd may be the illegitimate son of, .Boss Hog,

from the Dukes of Hazard..

Jim was upset that the 4WP management had purposely delayed the exchange of his exhaust system for well over a month. Jim repeatedly requested to meet with the General Manager above and as expected, every one of his requests was denied. This was how 4WP worked individually with each customer to resolve any complaints. Mr. Todd Macdonald.s plan of getting Jim frustrated to the point of having him just leave Failed. Jim would play the game right back by being at their store every other day by making very small purchases and in most cases returning these items, and of course making several tape recording at the same time.

I and Jim would like to thank everyone for sending us all those 4WP internal company documents. Regarding the sexual harassment documentation, we may not publish them, as it may harm victims and their cases.

Please be patient, we still have to deliberate over this very delicate subject matter.

Please Note: The Following Is Only A Briefing of The Actual 90 Page File. Jim was growing very tired of the well documented 4WP disgraceful hillbilly games, so he decided to throw the following phrase to evoke action, .How about we do an engine tear-down and see how much damage your ex-manager inflicted to my brand new $41,000.00 truck.. Jim was desperate to do anything to stop the engine detonation and even negotiated with the supercharger manufacture to prematurely release an intercooler for his truck,

4WP knowing that they had destroyed the engine of a brand new truck, looked for every way to release themselves of total liability. President Greg Adler and his General Manager were directly involved in the generation of the following document above. The document states, .INSTALLATION OF THIS WILL RESULT IN VOIDED WARRANTY THROUGH THE SUPERCHARGER CO. & OURSELVES, .4 Wheel Parts.. VOIDED WARRANTY CONSISTS OF SUPERCHARGER & OR ANY OTHER MOTOR MODIFICATIONS IF ANY! CUSTOMER IS FULLY AWARE OF SPECULATIONS WHEN PURCHASING THIS ITEM!"

Several months later, the State Investigator would take this document to the supercharger manufacture and ask them the following questions. Is this intercooler made for this truck? Answer: As it was not specifically made for this truck, it is 100% compatible to this truck. Will installation of this intercooler result in the voiding the supercharger warranty? Answer: No, this part is designed to work in conjunction with the supercharger and in no way can or will damage the supercharger and/or engine. The State Investigator would then ask, .What does customer is fully aware of speculations mean?. Answer: We

have no idea what that means. The State Investigator

would then issue just one of many Violations to 4WP for, .Written False & Misleading Statements..

Please Note: The Following Is Only A Briefing of The

Actual 90 Page File. All Jim wanted, was for 4WP to

just fix his truck properly. Jim complained to 4WP mechanics that their installed supercharger was grinding into the stainless steel radiator tube. The 4WP mechanics gave back an answer of, .This is a crappy supercharger kit, we followed the installation instructions correctly, if it gets worse, just bring it back.. Instead of taking his truck to another mechanic, Jim decided to do the next best thing by taking his truck to another 4WP Center located in Redondo Beach, CA.

This new 4WP mechanic wrote, .Moved upper Radiator Hose Tube Away From Charger Pulley, Pulley Was Grinding Into Tube.. The mechanic also stated that it should be changed immediately, considering it was ready to rupture. Wow, two completely different stories from two of the same company owned 4WP stores. Jim was told to take his truck back to the original 4WP store for repair.

Note: Again, there is no invoice stating that this problem was fixed by 4WP either.

Please Note: The Following Is Only A Briefing of The

Actual 90 Page File. Once again, this is how

shamefully 4WP works individually with each customer to resolve any complaints. The above 4WP invoices already provided completely contradict 4WP.s BBB response to Jim.s complaint.

The 4WP lawyer states that there is no credible evidence that the parts and/or work provided was done in a negligent manner or improper manner. The 4WP goes on to say, .We have tried to work with Mr. Jim regarding alleged problems he is encountering to no avail.

The 4WP lawyer basically says that there is absolutely no proof that 4WP has done any wrong doing whatsoever. Then the 4WP lawyer goes on to state, .Jim (ALLEGES) and/or is saying that there are all these problems with his truck. The 4WP lawyer then states that they have spent their valuable time/money and can.t find anything wrong..

4WP.s own invoices/documents provided above are evidence, .That the parts and/or work provided by 4WP

was done in a negligent manner or improper manner..

4WP.s first invoice clearly states, .Supercharger Not Running Properly, Etc., Customer had to have Work Done With Other Shops To Get Truck Running..

Their second invoice states that they agree to take back their non-compatible Gibson exhaust and re-install a Chevy factory exhaust. 4WP.s fails to meet their written obligation as well.

The third document depicts the, .Trickery and Deception. that President Adler and his management are willing to go to release themselves of any/all

accountability/liability. These attempts only

provided evidence to incriminate them further.

The fourth 4WP invoice depicts that 4WP.s own internal invoices/documents again depict that there were substantial installations problems with Jim.s truck, .Pulley Grinding Into Tube,. that were never fixed.

4WP.s last sentence in 4WP.s BBB letter, .Given his recent libelous statements to some of our customers, no informal resolution seems likely. The BBB actually applied negative points against 4WP record for their poor response. People have looked at all the invoices above and then have read 4WP BBB response to just shake their heads, .What d**n Liars, What Do They Think, That We.re All Stupid?.

4WP Has Developed a Pattern of NOT REPLYING to consumers with major legitimate complaints, nor will 4WP refund any rental car and/or other consumer expenses. They will wait for consumers to spend money in retaining legal representation and then 4WP will offer to settle for much less. Jim didn.t believe in this chicken sh#t strategy of 4WP, so he began to relay his horrible experience via the internet; which really upset the ethically challenged at 4WP. This is what 4WP is calling, .His recent libelous statements to some of our customers.. Jim.s response to 4WP.s propaganda is simply, .The 15 violations speak for themselves and clear the him now 100% of any libel action from the hygene challenged team at 4WP..

Please Note: The Following Is Only A Briefing of The

Actual 90 Page File. Jim had his brand new

supercharger torn apart and sent away for an, .Independent Laboratory Failure Analysis.. This report speaks volumes, so Jim decided to mail this very damaging report to Greg Adler in hoping that he would come to his senses. Once again, this report as all the others, were simply ignored by Greg Adler.

Adler.s idiotic business practices left his corporation NAKED by allowing his subordinates to violate the Bennett v. Hays Act, .That an automotive repair dealer cannot charge for repairs where no written/signed estimate has been given.. This law states, .If the business has Failed to do so, Then the Work is absolutely FREE under the Law..

Jim went even further to have Greg Adler.s defective Pro Comp A/T.s tires torn apart for failure analysis,

obtaining similar results as well. Jim is well aware

that 4WP will deny the authenticity of these documents above. So, If anyone wishes to obtain any/all of these documents along with the Final Report, they may do so by writing to the following address below:

Corporation Ends Business Relationship with 4 Wheel Parts After True Facts Are Disclosed.

AUTHOR: Ted - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 15, 2004

Our corporation was recently contacted via email by an individual who made some very serious allegations about our longtime business associate 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers. I simply told this individual, if he was going to make these very damaging allegations, that he'd better provide us with evidence to corroborate his story.

We received a 60 page package from this man containing countless vehicle repair invoices with photos, towing invoices, BBB records, and independent laboratory failure analysis that totaled in excess of $40,000.00. My colleagues stated that it was like reading through a, Vehicle Murder Investigation. We also reviewed this internet posting and its links.

I then had one of my managers contact 4 Wheel Parts and ask their corporate representative, What the hell was going on and how did you guys get our company involved in this mess. Their exact words were, It's a crazy guy that's trying to extort money from us and we are not going to let that happen because if we give in; then everybody will start doing the same thing to us for money.

My manager then asked their corporate representative if there was any truth to the internet postings regarding their BBB business record and any violations on, Ripoffreport.com. Their corporate representative stated, It's nothing but lies that we are trying to have removed.

The information that the corporate representative had given to my manager directly clashed with this man's 60 pages of provided documents, leaving us with the conclusion that 4 Wheel Parts representative had deliberately deceived us.

It was still hard for me to believe all the personal and unprofessional accusations made against Mr. Adler on this website, so I sent one of my company field representatives down to see what was really true.

We had concluded from all the evidence provided to us, that this man wasn't trying to extort any money from the 4 Wheel Parts Corporation. He was simply asking for the reimbursement of his damages inflicted upon him and his new truck, nothing more.

We have also concluded that 99.8 percent of all the material posted on this site has been verified to be truthful either by documents and/or or by some other means.

Furthermore, we at *********** Corporation have been in the 4 wheel parts business for well over 30 years and do not require to associate ourselves with such a company to survive. We will stop doing business with the company 4 Wheel Parts d.b.a Transamerican Auto Parts Inc in the near future. Vice President of A Major Corporation Responds to Email

AUTHOR: Trent - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, December 12, 2004

I am a Vice President of a major corporation that has been contacted via email by in recent days, telling me to review this website.

I must say that I have reviewed this entire site, its informative links, and must say that under the evidence provided to date, I am deeply disappointed in the owners of the Corporation Transamerican Auto Parts Inc, dba. 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers for grossly mishandling this situation to date.

I will keep this as brief and to the point as possible:

This very angry man has posted extensive detailed photos and very damaging material. His case for damages became more believable upon the review of your Unsatisfactory BBB Company Reliability Report, which you completely denied on your rebuttal Submitted: 8/10/2004 4:37:34 PM.

You continue to write, We continue to be committed to every customer and to resolve every service issue to the best of our ability. I and the rest of the viewers find this extremely difficult to believe as dated BBB documents depict that your company has, Failed to respond to consumer complaints.

On your last rebuttal Submitted: 12/8/2004 11:36:04 AM, you state exactly, For an issue we have tried to resolve. Then on your rebuttal Submitted: 8/10/2004 4:37:34 PM you wrote, We unfortunately will not deal with someone at this level. Which is it Mr. Adler? On one occasion you write that you have tried to resolve matters with this man and on the other your write that you will not deal with this man.

I really hope this man posts some type of settlement offer from your side, so we may see if your words are indeed, Genuine.

Mr. Adler, you also wrote that you would have not grown coast to coast without providing continued great service, selection, and price. Then you added that 75% of your customers are repeat customers.

Mr. Adler, the complaints that my company receives on a weekly basis about your employee conduct and poor customer service is outrageous. Your company has the best selection, the lowest prices, but the worst customer service around making it a glorified, Swap Meet, by definition.

Regarding that 75% of your customers are return customers, that's not a number I would go around disclosing to the public or boasting about on the internet Mr. Adler. You are writing that 25% of your customers, despite your dirt cheap prices and excellent selection; never bothered to spend money at 4 Wheel Parts ever again. Just looking at our transaction records, that's thousands of unsatisfied customers per year.

Mr. Adler, it is clear that you have an idiot for an attorney. My attorney would never allow me to Blab all over the internet like this and allow me to look like a fool nor would he have let this Circus Show go on for so long. He would have got rid of this, no matter what; it would have been settled.

I must say, that I have never seen such a, Repeated a*s kicking of a major corporation like this before. You have been beaten more badly than a, Rented Mule. I would really hate to piss this guy off.

By the way, I decided to respond to this site because your employees did provided horrible service to my teenage son. Work on, "Customer Serivice" instead of expanding so much; you have lost focus.

The Achilles Heel of 4 Wheel Parts/Transamerican Auto Parts Inc.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 09, 2004

The Achilles Heel of 4 Wheel Parts/Transamerican Auto Parts Inc. is the son Greg Adler himself.

With the combination of not retaining any formal college education and his, "Little-Man Syndrome ego," that always gets him into conflicts that any other man in his position would never get into in the first place. Mr. Adler feels that he needs to project more authority and demands respect in return due to his very small size.

Mr. Adler is a very frugal man plastering giant red stickers the entire size of his back window on his 2500 HD Chevy Truck reading, "For Sale," instead of donating the piece of crap.

This man Greg Adler has also selected to purchase the cheapest/underpowered Mercedes E320, what is commonly referred to as the as the "poor-man Mercedes model."

As Mr. Adler's attorney loves to generate threatening letters to anyone that opposes 4 Wheel Parts by stating, " I and a team of in house lawyers have unlimited funds to crush you."

When in fact this is all a very big lie, Mr. Alder is an extremely frugal man and believes any money spent on litigation "Is a complete waste of his hard earned money."

As for trying to resolve matters with my friend Jimmy from Irvine, 4 Wheel Parts has obtained 15 State violations, one for installing a zero mile odometer, committing parts fraud, inflicted over $38,000.00 of damages on my friends truck and the only thing Mr. Greg Adler offered him was $3,500.00 and to shut up.

Mr. Adler's extremely poor settlement offer has now involved every one of his main distributors into this mud pit.

Everyone knows 4 Wheel Parts has horrible service,

Even the Main Distributors of 4 Wheel Parts are irritated with Poor Customer Service.

I decided to contact several of 4 Wheel Parts Distributors directly and ask them how they felt about this company's horrible business record and recently issued 15 State Violations.

One major corporation representative said exactly, "They really need to get their sh*t together. I mean we get complaints all the time that people have not obtained our products up to 3 months."

"Well yes, I've seen their BBB report, but I have to tell you, 4 Wheel Parts is like the WALLMART of 4 Wheel Part accessories now, a company would have to be stupid not to sell to them."

Would you say its fair to say that 4 Wheel Parts is now the SWAP MEET of 4 Wheel Part Accessories with their recent 15 State issued Violations???

He couldn't stop laughing and wouldn't answer.

This information was consistent with the 200 email complaints posted at the beginning of this post of customers having to wait several months for their ordered products.

Several major corporations who sell directly to 4 Wheel Parts had similar responses and some were even very upset that 4 Wheel Parts neglected to tell them that they were under investigation by State & Federal Agencies.

Mr. Adler, one thing is very consistent about 4 Wheel Parts, the blatant lies that you dispense.

We are all educated and if you did obtain an education from some non-accredited University, "I'd ask for a refund." You have disgraced your fathers hard work and his dream.

Explorer Pro Comp Owned and Operated by 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers

AUTHOR: Randy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 08, 2004

Yes, 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers love to PUSH Explorer Pro Comp lift kits and those third rate Pro Comp tires made by Cooper Tires.

Yes, It's TRUE. 4 Wheel Parts ownes/operates Explorer Pro Competition Inc.

They also love to push their, "No questions asked $100.00 tire warranty" that they never seem to honor when the time arrives.

Yet another complaint will be filed with the Federal Trade Commission regarding the, "Failure to honor such warranties."

4 Wheel Parts is now subject to special and punitive damages from the 15 State Violations they have just earned.

Everyone is encouraged to file their own complaints against this "Dukes of Hazard" BOSS HOG Hillbilly Company.

As the following posting below is entertaining and informative, it does not help levy any enforcement against 4 Wheel Parts unless it is in a form of a complaint:

WOW... That sounds like a ton of fun. I always new those guys were sneaky. All my buddys get there stuff at 4WP. "Its the best place to go." " Pro Comp is the greatest." Well, I on the other hand, have to agree with this post. Every Pro Comp tire I have come in contact with bubbles up and/or splits. As far as 4WP go, I went in there with a buddy of mine and we received exactly what i was expecting, SH*T. Very unprofessional. I tell everyone i know exactly how it is.

Mr. Adler, your BBB Unsatisfactory Company Reliability has been scanned and posted above for everyone to review and make up their own minds if you and your father are crooks for, "For Failing to have the integrity to even respond to your consumer complaints."

What profound arrogance and blatant disrespect towards the consumers who gave your company life.

Regarding the recently 15 State issued violations,

Mr. Gregory Adler never made himself available to the State Investigator, due to the fact that Mr. Adler was directly involved in the, "Fraud and generation of False and Misleading Statements."

Greg Adlers Advertisements Clearly Show That he is a Sexist Pig

AUTHOR: Sandy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 07, 2004

I came across Adler's SEXIST ADVERTISEMENT when looking through their nagazine to get to get my husband something for Christmas.

In the photo below, It is anatomically impossible for the female body to stand or walk in such a way that President Greg Adler has his models stick their, "butts out" like they are in heat.

I showed my husband the photo and demonstrated a walk for him. He couldn't stop laughing and stated, "It was either modeling for 4 Wheel Parts like that or geting grabbed by drunks at a Hooters."

Then I responded to my husband, "How about we get his daughter to bend over like that for his magazine?" "Oh he wouldn't go for that," my husband said, "However, there is that inbreeding problem in the South?" and we both couldn't stop laughing.

He is a SEXIST PIG and he knows better.

4 Wheel Parts Banned From All Radio Stations in California Due to Their Horrible Business Record

AUTHOR: Neal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 06, 2004

I am also a victim of 4 Wheel Parts, "You belong in the zoo" monkey installations.

Yes they pushed their, "No questions asked $100.00 tire warranty" onto me as well and yes they didn't honr it when their Pro Comp Tires developed bulges on their sides.

It just really pissed me off how they ripped me off, but I paid cash and neglected to do a background check on them.

It would really piss me off every time thier stupid, really lame radio commercial would come on my the station, "Doot Doot 4 Wheel Parts."

It also irritated me that this station didn't do a background check on them either before promoting them, so I mailed them a copy of 4 Wheel Parts BBB Company Reliability Report. Within a couple of days they were history.

Several days later they were on yet another classic rock station, "Doot Doot Doot 4 Wheel Parts," really lame, like everyone who drive a 4x4 has the IQ of a Alabama farmer.

So, I sent that station a Copany Reliability Report as well and they kept on playing them.

I found out that Eyewitness News (Channel 2) owned the radio station, so I carbon copied a letter of complaint over to them.

Instantly 4 Wheel Parts was off the air in Southern California. They were only left to advertise on R&B, Rap, Classical Music, and Easy Listening Music Stations.

They did not, how sad for them....."Doot Doot Doot 4 Wheel Parts." Hey, maybe they can play their advertisement in their work bathrooms?

4 Wheel Parts Inherits 15 State Violations

AUTHOR: Monticore - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 02, 2004

The State Agency, Bureau of Automotive Repair is in the final days of completing their several month long Fraud investigation into the company known as 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers/Transamerican Auto Parts Inc. This company operates a nationwide off-road store chains, Including but not limited to the SELLING of factory truck warranties redeemable at all major nationwide dealerships, and is also in the business of selling aftermarket parts/accessories to dealerships nationwide.

Several questionable issues delayed and/or interfered with the State Agencies abilities to complete their full investigation into this business entities transactions/conduct. One such example was the, Failure to produce documents/invoices in timely manner and/or the deliberate withholding of these documents to gain a strategic advantage, which is a violation of the business and professions code.

President Gregory W. Adler of 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers/Transamerican Auto Parts Inc. has vehemently denied any wrong doing to date and has stated via the internet that, The customer is number one at 4 Wheel Parts.

However, his statement completely contradicts his companies Better Business Bureau Company Reliability Report of having an Unsatisfactory Performance Record which the report includes the following specifics below:

*Delivery Issues,*Difficulty Obtaining Refunds,*Overcharging,*Poor Installation,

*Poor Customer Service,*Billing Disputes,*Failure to Deliver Ordered Merchandise *Missing Items, and Incorrect Items.

A BBB Company Reliability Report on 4WP/Transamerican Auto Parts can be obtained at www.labbb.org.

Furthermore, Mr. Gregory W. Adler's statement of, The Customer is Number 1 is once again contradicted by the 15 Violations issued by the State Agency, Bureau of Automotive Repair.

This is just some of the following State Agencies final report violation subject matter that will be available via subpoena:

Written False and Misleading Statements etc.

Failure to Provide Written and Revised Signed Estimates etc.

Charging for Items Not Specifically Described etc.

Installation of Non-Calibrated (Zero-Mile) Odometer, installed on factory leases.

Several severe offenses were committed; unfortunately no enforcement action was taken due to the fact that there are no laws/enforcement regulations and/or legislation on the books to date.

The State Investigator audited the annual idler arm sales records between a major dealership and 4 Wheel Parts. Service Manager stated (name withheld), That after approximately (600) 1500 series idler arms were sold to 4 Wheel Parts, they began to return them for credit/exchange. Service Manager continued, I know that you are not installing these parts on factory stock trucks, but installing them on trucks with larger wheels and tires that puts a huge strain/wear on these parts causing them to wear prematurely.

Not only am I going to stop crediting you these idler arm parts, I'm going to stop selling them to you altogether. 4 Wheel Parts were purchasing factory stock parts and stating that they were Heavy Duty to handle the larger wheels and tires. ANOTHER VIOLATION issued by the State Agency.

10 other violations were issued similar in nature.

This State Agency report that contains 15 violations has been brought to you at terrible cost and sacrifice to me. You may obtain a Bureau of Automotive Repair Records Management/Subpoena Unit Form explaining in detail how only your counsel may obtain this very important report at www.autorepair.ca.gov/stdhome.asp or write to:

I Also Purchased Products From the New Azuza Store Location

AUTHOR: Doug - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 02, 2004

I also went to the new 4 Wheel Parts store location in Azusa, CA also.

From the moment I first walked in that forsaken store, they pushed "Pro Comp this, Pro Comp that." So, I regrettably bought "Pro Comp this and Pro Comp that."

They placed Pro Comp Tires side by side to BFG's and said, "Look at the tread, they are the same exact tires."

I asked, "No difference?" They said "Yes, the difference is they are a lot cheaper with wheels, otherwise, they are identical."

So, I bought a lift kit with wheels and tires, which ended up costing me thousands. I brought my friends down a day early before their scheduled completion and I didn't see the mechanics test driving my brand new $35,000.00 Ford Truck, but 22 yr old sales reps red lining my truck instead.

I was furious a vowed never to spend another dime at that place ever again.

Manager at New Store in Azuza Used Pressure of Speech Tactics

AUTHOR: Chuck - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 30, 2004

4 Wheel Parts advertised their new store opening in AZUZA, CA like crazy with "GIANT" savings, so I gave it a try.

I went in their and spoke to a sales person and then was accosted by their manager wearing a white 4 Wheel Parts shirt. This manager used Pressure of Speech Tactics like seen at shady Used Car Dealerships by says the price that he gave me, Was only good for the remainder of day.

So, I began to ask questions, How much am I really saving with this deal, doing it today and all? The manager answered, Well, it's really a package in the magazine and he couldn't give me a savings amount that really upset me.

This manager then left the showroom and went in his office telephoning the other remaining 4 Wheel Parts sales member. The remaining sales person really wanted to get my name and home address, which was really peculiar to me as it was clear I was no longer interested in purchasing their products. I walked out of that place and never set foot back.

I decided to go their there main corporate office in Compton, CA and lodge a complaint about my experience. As I walked up to their main offices, I could not believe my eyes.

The corporate owners of the company themselves had given permission and/or allowed for the following very arrogant/unprofessional parking signage to remain posted.

Such unfair/unprofessional displays is a clear reflection of the owner/operators business ethics, which unfortunately often has lead to inappropriate conduct down the chain of command structure.

Therefore, it was pointless and a complete waste of time for me to lodge a formal complaint, when the owners/operators did not retain established business ethics shared by the rest of the business community.

Whoa... Busted!!!!! ..The military does not endorse this product ..Thank You Ripoffreport

AUTHOR: Chad - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 29, 2004

I have seen that advetisement several of times over the past year as well, so they can't say that they missed it and let it get published like that.

The placing of the words, Used & Tested is a red flag. It is misleading to all consumers giving the impression that the Army does in fact use this equipment when it does not.

The military does not endorse this product anywhere on the advertisement nor does it give permission for the use of their photo anywhere.

For the military to use a product, It must Meet and/or Exceed MIL SPECS. This is not metioned as well because this product does not meet the Army's standards.

If the Army did use this product, the advertisers would use phraseology such as,

In service with the Army.

Does anybody have the address to the FTC or can I file a complaint via the internet as well?

This has pissed me off so much, that I will be sending a copy of this entire posting to every newspaper in the United States and Military Branches.

As I recall, it is illegal for any branch of the military to spend our tax dollars on companies retaining Unsatisfactory Company Reliability Reports and countless State violations.

Thank You Ripoffreport, I shall be making a donation to your legal fund.

False and Misleading Statements Made by Off-Road Adventures

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 26, 2004

I am a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves and our unit just finished our deployment in Southern Iraq. We have stacks of magazines to read from and limited computer time per day as well. I must say that I became rather upset to see 4 Wheel Parts' magazine, Off-Road Adventure use full page photos of our soldiers on the trying to assemble winches bought from this company.

Our chat room forums clearly depicted that I was not the only soldier to feel misrepresented by the company 4 Wheel Parts. Complaints were filed to senior officers and I noticed several months later that these photos of my brethren began to shrink by 95% in their magazine.

I decided to visit a total of four of their stores and their main corporate headquarters in Compton, CA. 11-26-04. None of these facilities even bothered to have a banner and/or a sign saying. WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.

4 Wheel Parts can slapped my brothers and sisters all over their magazines making a ton of money off them without even supporting them, which is shameful.

I began to look at their latest photo below and what it said, USED AND TESTED BY THE US ARMY. What does that actually mean? Is there any statement by the Department of Defense stating, Meets and/or exceeds MIL SPECS? NO. If we use it, these winches must meet and/or exceed MIL SPECS. Does it say anywhere that the US MILITARY endorses this product, NO.

What we have here by 4 Wheel Parts is, Written False and Misleading Statements, which by the way they already have obtained multiple violations for in the past. I will be forwarding this to my Lt. Commander and asking him to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision.

4 Wheel Parts Lawyer Gets Caught Lying to The BBB

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 08, 2004

On the (left) we have Mr. Darren Marcus Salvin, age 29 (JACKASS) newly hired counsel for 4 Wheel Parts/Transamerican Auto Parts. On the (right) we have President Gregory Adler (DUMB BUNNY).

Recently, the (JACKASS) was caught blatantly lying in his response to a Better Business Bureau Complaint, even foolishly contradicting his own company invoices and documents.

This led one of the main supervisors at the Better Business Bureau to audit 4 Wheel Parts entire file and look for any complaint trends, there were many of course.

The main BBB supervisor then wrote in these complaints that were all same in nature in their Company Reliability Report such as:

*Delivery Issues

*Difficulty obtaining Refunds

*Overcharging

*Poor/improper Installation

*Poor Customer Service

*Billing Disputes

*Failure to Deliver Ordered Merchandise /Missing Items/Incorrect Items

Since then, the State Agency Bureau of Automotive Repair has been conducting a FRAUD Investigation into 4 Wheel Parts. Once again, the (JACKASS) Mr. DARREN MARCUS SALVIN has attempted to degrade and interfere with the final outcome of this investigation by slandering the individual who launched the complaint.

So much damage had been done by the (JACKASS'S) slandering, trickery and deception tactics that, the main supervisor of the State Agency Bureau of Automotive Repair took over the case at the request of the complainant.

Several phone calls and letters were made ordering the 4 Wheel Parts (JACKASS) to PRODUCE/RELEASE any/all documents regarding the sale of odometers and idler arms.

As expected, the corporate (JACKASS) representing 4 Wheel Parts did not comply with the demands of the State Investigating Agency.

Several weeks had passed and the corporate (JACKASS) representing 4 Wheel Parts only released invoices that the State Agency already had in its possession.

The State Investigating Agent once again began sending faxes and next air day mail to the corporate (JACKASS) representing 4 Wheel Parts.

This kind of BLATANT DISRESPECT & NON-COMPLIANCE to this agency will only lead to multiple FEDERAL INVESTIGATIONS not only to 4 Wheel Parts, but to any affiliates of 4 Wheel Parts as well.

EX-MANAGER OF 4 WHEEL PARTS REPORTS ON INSIDE EMPLOYEE TEACHINGS OF PRODUCT BAIT AND SWITCH

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 11, 2004

As an ex-manager of 4 wheel parts I can agree with about 99.9% of everything this guy has stated about the daily business operations of 4 Wheel Parts. I would like to commend him for giving up so much to get the truth out there, if he helps just one person purchase or be left in the rain after something has gone wrong with their products.

I moved up from just being a sales rep, to assistant manager, to manager in no time by implementing dishonest sales tactics designed to deceive consumers into purchasing Pro Comp Tires and products. I was when selling tires, To simply place our Pro Comp Tires right next to BFG's. The tread design pattern on our tires is nearly identical, so I was taught to tell customers, Look at them both, there is no difference between them whatsoever.

In truth, there is a major difference between the 3rd rate Pro Comp Tires (Cooper Tire Co.) and BF Goodrich Tires. The Tire Rack (www.tirerack.com) on the internet is one of the largest tire sellers in the country, which compares all tires against each other (except for Pro Comp Tires).

I had a huge board in my office depicting monthly gross of $150,00.00 to $175,00.00. We were always pushed to meet or exceed our monthly set goals and that's where a lot of dealership and customer trucks got torn up and damaged. Our monthly lease was over $10,000.00 per month and 4 Wheel Parts had to pay 7% of its monthly gross to the land owner as well. They would pressure me to fudge those numbers as well, making me very uncomfortable and completely liable.

I still remember this short event vividly to this day. All of our stores were to play new music provided directly from the president of the company, Mr. Greg Adler. Immediately my loyal customers began to complain, What the hell is this crap. I replied, I don't have a choice, I gotta play it. It wasn't country music, not even blue-grass music. One customer described it as, Backyard Moonshine Distilling Hillbilly Music. This caused such a disruption among my employees to where they began to poke fun of the company president with jokes such as, He is vertically challenged to they didn't let him on rides at Disneyland when he was in high school that's why he's got the worst case of Little-Man-Syndrome.

In addition, I have contacted this victim of 4 Wheel Parts directly. They have attempted threaten/intimidate Jimmy and he has simply told me that he has turned around and thrown it back in all their faces by stating, Bring It. Jim has also stated to me that 4 Wheel Parts has subscribed him to very offensive magazines subscriptions, when has never held any subscriptions for the last 4 years. This behavior doesn't surprise me as I have heard our top management members use racial slurs all the time.

In closing, Jim has also relayed to me that he does not retain any form of criminal record that my company could use against him, so they have spent even more money by hiring a private detective to go to every police station where Jim h lived before, in order to dig up any dirt as possible.

Since I have worked for this company, I can say that this is common practice for 4 Wheel Parts and I'm just tired of them ripping people off and them being s****.> National Criminal Report

OVER 200 COMPLAINTS REGARDING PRO COMP TIRES AND SCAMS ON 4 WHEEL PARTS

AUTHOR: Jimmy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 10, 2004

OVER 200 COMPLAINTS REGARDING PRO COMP TIRES AND SCAMS ON 4 WHEEL PARTS

Disclaimer: Any wrong-doing is alleged just as UFO's do not exist

My recent internet posts have resulted in my email accumulating well over 200 nationwide complaints regarding 4 Wheel Parts not honoring their pushed upon, $100.00 Tire warranty and other scams revelaing a clear trend.

There are nationwide consumer complaints about:

DEFECTIVE TIRES PULLING/DEVELOPING BULGES

TIRE WARRANTIES NOT BEING HONORED DISGRACEFULY

THE RAISING OF SHIPPING COSTS DURING A (SALE)

THE MAKING THE CUSTOMER ABSORB RE-SHIPPING COSTS WHEN 4WP HAS MADE THE ERROR IN SHIPPING A WRONG ITEM, ETC.

THE MAKING OF THE CUSTOMER WRONFULLY ABSORB ANY/ALL RENATL CAR BILLS WHEN AN "IMPROPER VEHICLE INSTALLATION HAS BEEN MADE

GROSS MISREPRESENTATIONS ON PRODUCTS IN ORDER TO MOVE PRODUCTS

PRO COMP TIRES NOT FAILING TO DEPICT THE INDUSTRY STANDARD LETTERING/NUMBERING SYSYEM FOR THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE TIRE SPEED

GROSS MISREPRESENTATIONS of STATING TO THE CUSTOMER THAT AN AFTERMARKET HEAVY DUTY IDLER ARM EXISTS, WHEN IT DOES NOT.

((((State and local agencies have just begun investigations into these complaints and there have been substantial findings))))

In addition, a myriad of complaints have completely covered the internet. Here are some examples below that show a clear pattern of TIRE PROBLEMS, 4WP FAILING TO HONOR TIRE WARRANTIES, 4WP MAKING CUSTOMERS PAY FOR RE-SHIPPING COSTS.

I bought a set of Xterrains for my Dmax and had nothing but problems. Drifting, front end shakes & tire wear. I pulled them off after 15k. Yes I got them from 4WP. I've had issues with them in the past.. I know better that to buy from them. They did the lift on my 1/2 ton and they told me 35" tires would fit no problem with this lift. Two days later I crushed the finders. They told me..well most people don't go offroading when they get a lift. I took the manager for a ride and found the deepest ditch I could find to show him the problem. All they would do is buy me a set of finder flares to cover the damage. I was hot.... They really need to get it together...

s**t, 4wheel parts just bent me over a week ago. In my book they are a bunch of crooks and i like the post. I ordered tires from them, told me free shipping, then charged me for shipping and a pallet fee. The d**n tires didn't even show up on a pallet. I asked if they were having any sales on tires because i could wait a month or so if needed, they told me no. Two days later i recieve an advertisment from them stating sale on all tires, and just above that there was a huge free shipping banner! What a load of s**t! So i called and the customer service guys said he couldn't answer any questions and told me to call back later and talk to an internet rep. That guy couldn't answer any questions and told me to call back later! 4WHEELPARTS SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of people over on TDS have nothing but bad experiences with them as well. I personally have only ordered from them a few times and have had good luck, but count myself lucky after hearing all the stories.

Along the line of tire failures, a neighbor had all four of his 265/75/16 swampers develope bulges in the sidewall, interco made him ship all four tires back so that they could inspect them first before replacing them. He had to pay to have his original Perelli's mounted back up so that he could continue to drive his pickup.

As a ex employee of 4 wheel parts , although i dont agree with everything the guy said , most of the stuff he said is true , there in business to do one thing and thats take people's money, i commend him for getting the truth out there if he helps but one person not spend money there or not use bad tyres he has done his job

I guess i should have said a little more. Tthe tread pattern is exactly like the BFGs. Just look at them side by side. I did cut the side wall on one after having them for 2 weeks. 4wheel fawk ups wouldn't even think about replacing it, even with the waranty. I had them and ran them for 3,000 miles on an isuzu trooper, then sold them to my roommy. He has them on his Taco for 35,000 and going miles. So i would have to say the wear is not bad at all.

Contact Pro Comp directly. A friend of mine had almost 20,000 on his Pro Comp M/Ts and the same problem as you. He contacted than and ended up getting a COMPLETELY NEW set delivered to his house for free. They even forgot to pickup his old ones and I ended up buying them for $50 then resold them for a trail rig for $200.

They've screwed me too many times. I got that stupid a*s warranty also, and my tires had about 8k on them and they wouldnt replace mine either.

One of the guys at the OKC store here even tried to tell me that my Cherokee had torsion bar front suspension. LOL I dunno if hes just stupid or if he was looking up the wrong vehicle. He even ARGUED with me about it for 5 minutes...

While we are on the subject of crappy tires I'll warn you about MTR's, they suck. If you use them for anything but slickrock I hope you have a deep pocket. Mine are barely street legal after 12000 miles and I have rotated them every 2500 miles, and dont tow anything because my wrangler is too wimpy. BFG all the way.

I tested a set of Procomps and hated them. I had a problem with tire dealers once also, I know go to the dealer who is a certified dealer with that brand. I'm sorry to hear about the problem. Did you get a hold of Procomp and let them know what is going on. They may help you also.

I've ordered numerous times from them with no problems except for the last order when I got my rims and tires. They failed to balance them so I had to get that done, they sent the wrong lugs and made me pay for the shipping of the new ones, and I still haven't recieved my warrenty for the rims and tires yet.... ....won't order any major end items from them again....

I bought a fuel pump from them, had it shipped to me. When I got it, it was the wrong pump. I mailed it back. They wouldn't return the money, said "it was a used pump I mailed back"..(BullS!!!) I used a credit card to pay for it. So I called the credit card company, and told them that I returned that purchase and they refused to refund the money...by law, they credit card company has to challenge the company when you disputed a charge. I mailed the credit card company (capital one) a copy of the USPS shipping receipt, they took the charge off of my card, and got it back from 4WP...here is the real kicker...4WP then mailed to pump back to me...thinking that if I received it I would have to pay for it...but they mailed it back by putting a wrong "to:" address on it, so it was a "return to sender"..and the postage was free..they dodged the postage that way!!! ... but the postal clerk saw it when I picked it up, I had to fill out forms and give them a copy of the original shipping receipt...I don't know what happened, but I think the USPS was calling it mail fraud by 4WP....like I said though, I don't know what the USPS did, I just had to fill out a statment with my original shipping receipt copy. I got my money back and haven't heard a thing. I've never had problems with them before this...I had a lift and exhaust from there..no problems...but I'm not going back, after this fuel pump issue...that was a dirty little trick someone pulled to save $10.00 on shipping costs...it just seems like dirty business

I ordered five mounted and balanced sets of 31 X 10.5 BF Goodrich Mud Terrain (M/T) KM tires on 15" AR-23 American Racing wheels. Payment was by credit card over the telephone and all other additional information was taken by the representative to insure the delivery of the merchandise. He even read back my order to me and it was correct. I asked what proof would exist of the actual order that I placed. He said that there were recordings of the conversations of phone orders to deal with these types of situations and that the recording would be on the PC.

The shipment arrived and when I got home and unloaded the tires I realized that I had been given All Terrain T/As instead of Mud Terrain T/As. I immediately contacted the customer service center with my order number and spoke to the representative. He simply told me that the order said All-Terrain T/As and that I was mistaken. I stated that the situation was totally unacceptable and I demanded the mistake be corrected. He then stated that there was a price difference between the M/Ts and the A/Ts that I would have to pay that amounted to $23.00/tire. Assuming an honest mistake had been made, I stated that I was willing to pay the difference to get the tires I wanted (and had ordered). It's not my desire to cheat anyone out of anything. If there was an honest mistake made (by 4wheelparts), and I had not paid the proper amount, I was willing to make-up the difference. I was however (and still am not) willing to incur any shipping related costs as the shipping of the errant order is absolutely not my responsibility.

He insisted that I was completely in error and that I would be at least partially responsible for shipping costs. I explained that it was 4wheelparts that was in error and that I was not willing to pay for any shipping. Then he accused me of deciding I didn't like the A/Ts when I got them home and further suggested that I was trying to cheat the company. I explained that I had ordered correctly and that his refusal to absorb the shipping costs suggested strongly that the wrong tires had been sent either on purpose (to reduce costs as the M/Ts are a more expensive tire) or simply with a disregard for the accuracy of the order since few people would be willing to absorb the shipping costs to make the exchange. Simply put, the old Bait-and-Switch. I informed him that that type of activity amounts to fraud and I simply would not accept being a victim of it.

My older brother also had trouble with them. He ordered 4 new spring perches, got the wrong size, sent them back(which he paid the S&H). THey sent him another WRONG size set. He sent them back again and HE again paid the S&H. THen he got a letter and the money back with a letter saying they were out of stock of that item number after he spent over $80 for S&H. so he lost 80 bucks du to their incopetence......

I had a 4 wheel drive in the Austin store as soon as it opened. Took about 2 weeks longer than they said. Add almost $800 dollars on an already agreed upon $6000 job. they called and said we forgot to include"x" labor and machine work in our quote. What the heck am I gonna do tell them no it had to be done. They atleast called for approval, but ran 2 weeks over schedule and $800 over the quote.

They were the only place that could align the 36" boggers though. I had them use their press and install some bushings in a 4/6 belltech drop one time and they were great. Their customer service was a little slow and they tend to be forgetful at times.

After all that I would say that it was a good expirience and they did good work. I think that particular store was just understaffed. I know they have slow times, but their busy times are very busy.

I likewise had a bad experience with 4 wheel parts. I ordered a 8" fabtech lift kit with dual shocks. They did not order dual shocks, so therefore I had to either wait for them to go back and order them or have them put some pro comp shocks on still at my charge even though they are the ones who messed up. I drop the truck off and wait a week for them to install the lift. 4 wheel parts is a 2 hour drive from my house, but I still thought they were more reliable than anyone around here. I go pick the truck up and have my sister write the check out while I was looking the truck over. The cost was $3000something for the lift, tires, and labor. My sister messed up writing the check and filled it out for $1000something. Not 30 minutes after I got home I recieved a call from the salesman. Asking me to make another trip back down there to straighten out the check I told him he was crazy to think I was going to drive all that way because he didn't look at the check before I left. We were able to work it out but won't ever deal with them again.

4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers has terrible service, but I continue to buy from them because there aren't many other choices here in Houston.

I have only used them once to get a set of 33 x 12.50. 15 xterrains and loved the tires.

I do belong to a bunch of 4x4 clubs and a bunch of guys have had problems with 4 wheel parts warehouse. I did have some problems trying to get info about a set of wheels and couldn't get the info from them. Oh yeah, they will up the price of their tires and then put them on sale.

I had them install my suspension lift a few years back, and they did a half-a*s job. I really don't know how they've stayed in business so long, since it seems like poor business practices are an ongoing problem, the rule rather than the exception.

don't expect to get anywhere fast with 4wp. they screwed me around for 4 months and normally asking to talk to the next higher person up works but not for me. i called the corporate office many times and even wrote a letter to the owner, he wrote me back and basically told me to f-off.

Sounds like the exact same BS story I got when ordering from 4WPW. I apologize to the guy in this thread that works for them in advance, but personally, there are too many dishonest people working for that dishonest company. (I say the company is also dishonest b/c of its recent "10% off" sales in which they just jack up the shipping/handling/crating fees to cover the discount plus a good margin. For example, they had 10% off tires. So a tire that regularly runs $223 is on sale for $200.....regular shipping is $65 for 4 tires to my address in that size. However, during the so-called "sale", shipping was $72 PER TIRE, so they are actually making MORE money at sale price than at regular price. Simply dishonest, IMO. )

I ended up canceling my order for tires from 4wpw and got them from National instead (had nothing to do with the "10% off sale". That was after I'd already ordered the tires at regular price). I think 4wpw is fine as long as the item you want is IN STOCK. It's when they don't have it that I think many of their salespeople lie to make the sale. Their prices are generally decent; their service just sucks.

That really is to bad that you had a horrible relationship with 4 Wheel Parts. I ordered 4 Rockrawler Streetlocks from them, the first set took a long time to get to me, because they said they had a tough time getting the billing info . But finally after 2 weeks they came, I took a quick look at all 4 wheels and immediately noticed numerous scratches on the inside of the wheels and the outside. 3 of the simulated locks on one of the wheels were missing. So I called them, shipped them back at my expense obtaining a new set w/in 5 days and they were much better.

I hope that you can get your situation figured out soon, and I hope that you can at least get a refund for those tires.

Ahh, why I try to avoid 4 wheel parts as much as possible, I have heard so many horror stories its unreal they have any business. I wouldn't let one of thier monkeys within 30 feet of my trucks.

Oh yeah, and anything with the pro-comp name on it sucks.

My experience with 4 Wheel Parts has been completely mixed.

One shop was completely professional, technically outstanding, friendly and inexpensive. Free, pleasant advice anytime. This was in OKC.

After I moved to another state, I thought I was lucky there was another 4 Wheel Parts in town. The worst automotive business I have ever seen. Very expensive, technically poor (two incorrect alignments, incorrectly installed suspension bushings, incorrectly installed pitman arm), very rude, and more concerned with moving products than helping customers. Always left my truck dirty inside and out. Even broke a set of sunglasses in the truck.

Now here is where they lost my business:

Me - I need this part, this part number.

Them - Let me look (20 minutes).

Me - Okay, how long to get it?

Them - Two weeks.

Me - FedEx?

Them - No.

That night, 4 Wheel Parts 1-800 number Customer Service - Sure, we can FedEx that to you. It will be at your door tomorrow.

My point? All dependent on who is running and operating the store.

after they told me that all 4runners were car-based minivans and luxury suvs for posers, i never went back.

that and the fact that they tried to convince me no wheels or tires would ever fit other than the stock setup or the 20" rims they were trying to sell me.

Unfortunately 4WP is the only place in town that I know of anyways that you can get suspension lift parts from....well besides stock stuff anyways. Personally I find the guys there are jackasses and unless you drop big bucks in there store they don't want to talk to you at all. That and they try to talk you out of your plans and into there plans.....

If I didn't have to I would never deal with them again. Needless to say I'd way rather pay the money and buy from Duff or some other company. I just need to start planning farther in advance so that I can order this stuff and have it ready when I'm going to do the work.

I had some issues with them and swore I wouldnt do business with them. Very poor customer service, shady people for sure, over charging me. so on and so on... Finally I got ahold of a regional manager and he refunded me some $$$ and gave me the bullshit lift and tire warrenty that wouldnt have meant s**t if i did have a problem. I personally wont let them install anything else for me.

I got my last set of tires from them only because I bullshitted the guy down cheaper then I had found them anywhere. They shipped them to my home address on a fawken SEMI. He couldnt come down my street cause the powerlines and the fact that we have a city ordanence that no trucks are allowed on side street... What fawken idiots...lol

I also had major issues with them as well. As you know 90% of truck owners elect to purchase/install larger tires, which puts an enormous strain on a specific factory/stock part called an, ]Idler arm among other parts as well. In approximately 5,000 to 7,000 miles this part will fail.

4X4 Parts Wholesalers then advised me and a bunch of other customers that this part has failed and needs to be changed, Immediately." changed, Immediately. They then advised me that they have available an aftermarket Heavy Duty, Idler Arm and will even provide me with a one year full warranty for $165.00.

There is no aftermarket Heavy Duty, Idler arm in existence. 4X4 Parts Wholesalers purchases the factory/stock parts directly from the dealer ship, calls it another name on their invoice, installs them, and commits flat out fraud. Then they align my truck charge about $300.00 for the whole transaction only for the same identical factory/stock part to fail again under the tremendous strain of the larger wheels at about 7,000 miles.

4X4 Parts Wholesalers would then turn around and return these failed, Idler arms back to the dealerships and reported, Failing Under Normal Conditions," which meant stock trucks.

One very intelligent Chevrolet Service manager with an engineering background caught on to 4X4 Parts Wholesalers abuse of their parts/fraud and refused to warranty the returned failed idler arms. 4X4 Parts Wholesalers adapted, knowing that there is still a market/ demand for this parts and has begun installing the much thicker idler arms from the Chevy 3500 series. Installing such a part will have adverse effects on tie rod ends, power steering, and many parts of the suspension.

Wow!

I thought I was the only unlucky one who would have trouble. Here's my story:

-first I ordered a Jet SCU2000 to correct the speedo on my truck. 2 months later it shows up and low and behold it is for a 96+ Camaro. I sent it back (they were OK there) and got the right one but it never seemed to work right. I phoned Jet and found out they make nothing for diesel trucks and I know that I stated loud and clear that I had a 6.5 turbo diesel when I ordered. Oh well I'm stuck with it now.

-Next (giving 4wheel parts the benifit of the doubt) I ordered front and rear ring and pinions from them. 4.56. When I got them I had a rear 4.56, and a front 4.10. Right on the box it is printed in letters an inch high GM 9.5-4.56 and GM 8.2IFS-4.10 How did they miss that! So I called and had the right gearset sent to me overnight. Not a big problem but a delay.

-lastly (I know I'm a sucker for punishment) I ordered a superlift tru-speed. It shows up in a box marked for a Ford/Toyota truck. Luckily it had the right part but the wrong instructions. I got them faxed to me. But obviously somebody got a wrong part before me.

I am done with 4wheel parts. Never again. I don't care how nice their adds in the magazines look. Not only have I ordered three times and they have screwed it up every time, but heaven forbid you should have to phone them. I have had times that I've sat on hold for over an hour. You know the drill "please wait on the line, a custoner service representative will be with you shortly" How many hours do they think are in a day. Any way thanks for allowing me to rant.

President Greg Adler Gets Caught Lying to Public Consumers Once Again

AUTHOR: Jimmy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 09, 2004

Dear Mr. Gregory W. Adler from Manhattan Beach, California,

Your posted statement on one of my other web sites of, In regards to customer service, as a big company sometimes are employees may not handle a situation the way myself or my father might. The customer is #1 and we do everything we can do treat them right, captures the reader giving the initial appearance to be genuine and heart warming.

Once again Mr. Gregory W. Adler, you have elected to blatantly LIE to the public consumers with your statement of, The customer is #1. Your company has a very poor history of disgracefully not answering consumer complaints filed against your stores with the Better Business Bureau reviewed last 7-7-04 in the State of Washington all the way across this country to the State of Florida. Either it is company policy to not respond to consumer complaints over the last decade or you are NEGLIGENT in making your stores meet their contractual obligations in making sure that the customer is #1.

Mr. Adler, your statement of, The customer is #1 clearly is in conflict with your horrible business record. As a matter of fact, your main corporate headquarters in Compton, California has by the WORST Better Business Bureau Performance Record out of all you stores, that can be easily reviewed by anyone at www.labbb.org . So, why should any of us believe any other statements that you have made and/or will make in the future?

You have stated that you view the customer as,("Being #1), then adopt better business ethics into your own personal life and implement them into your corporation structure.

The only way that you will clearly show every 4 wheel parts consumer that Mr. Gregory Adler has changed the way he does business is to first clean up that despicable BBB Unsatisfactory Performance Record of yours and second, do the right thing and pay for all the $38,000 of accumulated damages that your very negligent mechanics inflicted on my brand new truck at 5,811 miles. Sometimes it hurts to do the right thing, its called integrity.

Mr. Adler, it was your decision/business ethics and practices that led you to where we are today and you know it. Very savvy businessmen put out small brush fires, due to the fact that they have the potential of becoming raging firestorms like this one has turned into.

You very poor business decision has resulted in your company in losing well over 5.4 million dollars in net annual sales just from dealerships all across this country refusing to do any more, "Aftermarket Suspension Lifts" with your company. Lets not also forget that that a major supercharger manufacture has also refused to sell your company anymore supercharger units for, Failing to take care of their end-users, damaging their company/product reputation and just making to many improper installations resulting in engine damage.

I wish you the best and I wish for you to spend as much free time with your family because when it comes down to it, nothing else really matters.
