Working for Chicks Marketing was absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! They made it very difficult for me to receive my paycheck. They gave me the run around day after day. They told me to pick up my check in 2 different cities. Completely going out of my way wasting gas and time. It was such a hassle afte awhile I really wanted to just give up on the check but felt like I worked and deserved to get paid for those hours. If you are looking employment PLEASE dont waste your time with this company. Now I see why they have such a high turnover rate......TERRIBLE!!!!

Show Some Respect

AUTHOR: Scott - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 27, 2015

To all of you upset disgruntled employees, have a care in what you say. I worked for this company for a few months last year and I perhaps would still be there if I was better at the job. The people there were fun and friendly, the owner and his wife were personable and easy to talk to. They worked diligently with each employee to make them better at what they did and all they ever asked for in return I have a purpose and do your best. Now I can understand not agreeing with the advertising of the job that I found on Craig's list. It does sound to good to be true, because it is. It is a very hard job a lot more work and harder to do than most jobs out there. But if you are capable of doing the work and putting in the effort the rewards pay out. As for paychecks I never once had an issue I was paid like clockwork. I came in for my last check and all I received was the check and a I'm sorry to see you go from the owner and his wife as well as from my former fellow salespeople. In the end I was sorry also sorry to have to leave. If you are up for hard work, are good with people, and have faith in yourself and your abilitles to talk to the public. This is a fine place to work.

To the former employee that says they were not paid timely, I do apologize that your employment did not work out and for the fact that you were disappointed with our company going above and beyond to get you your final check. At your request we did not mail the check but handed it to you personally.

At Chick's Marketing we are committed to the highest level of service to our clients and our employees. We are not a pyramid, multi level marketing or scam, we work with Fortune 100 companies and some of the top retailers in the nation to provide excellent service and representation. We are currently in a major expansion in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and looking to meet the demand of our retail partners. We pay a base of $10-15/hr with the opportunity to earn bonus and commission as well. Management training is also provided and we pay for all training and travel expenses. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Thank you again from our Chick's Marketing family. www.chicksmarketing.com

Ex Employee

AUTHOR: PuddingCup - ()

POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2015

I'm an ex emplyee and really have nothing bad to say about the company or people working there. I was paid promptly for the 4 months I was there and received my final check with no issues after I left. I'm not here to take sides, just add some perspective.......unfortunately, forums like these are not monitored or investigated for validity. Therefore, just keep in mind that ANYBODY can log on here and trash a company or person without motive. I'm not saying that the accusations are true or false, I'm just saying not to depend on these reports to make judgement on this or any other company. For all you know, it could be someone just trying to make trouble. The author could've asked a friend to log on to back up the claims and the texts that they are threatening to post can be faked easily as well. So, again....not saying one is right or wrong, just stating facts. HOWEVER, I will say that all character accusations aside, after reading the thread. It sounds like, the person making the complaint caused a delay in the paycheck themselves and now trying to blame the company for their own irresposibility. It IS true that they showed us how to keep and turn in our timesheets on our first day. So, if they didn't do that the company can't be blamed. That's just my opinion....

WHAT A CONTINUED JOKE!!!!

AUTHOR: Ihatescams - ()

POSTED: Thursday, January 22, 2015

No longer wanting to work for your company is NOT unprofessional. Meeting up in one location then driving to another is ridiculous....Why would I put in notice when I was only in training lol so that I could waste my time and yours by continuing to train knowing that I will NOT be working there any longer? You guys are clearly a** backwards and to try to insult me thats funny YOU hired me so clearly you thought I was good enough for your company. Comical is what this is. I do not need your luck nor do I want it. Thank you for FINALLY getting me my paycheck oh and check your records. Like I said you clearly dont know who's coming and going. I was there for more than one day silly rabbits. Your turn over rate is absurd. And thank you for not continuing to harass me through text messages. I would have hated to get the law involved. Now GOOD luck to you and GOOD day......

WHAT A CONFUSED INDIVIDUAL

AUTHOR: Team Player - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, January 21, 2015

The lack of professionalism and education continues to be clearly evident in this exchange. Yes, Ms. Jones, we are consistently looking for PROFESSIONAL individuals, therefore, we have ongoing ads. The reason for that is simple.....PEOPLE LIKE YOU. The UNPROFESSIONAL people that have ONE day of training, then leave without notice. Unfortunately, it happens often, I don't know if it's a Washington thing (because it never happened where I'm from) or if it's just like that in this line of work. The job isn't for everybody and we understand that, which is why we provide the amount of training that we do. However, due to the lack of professionalism we see daily, we need to find the diamonds in the rough. We must keep digging to find the individuals that will fit into our family structure. The people that leave our business are because they CAN'T or WON'T do the job and the only people that have ever been let go have been offenses like attendance or lying to customers. Answers are SIMPLE, nothing deceiving about what we do. So, good day, good luck and good bye!

WHAT A JOKE PART 2!!!!

AUTHOR: Ihatescams - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, January 20, 2015

YES Your company is so professional that you guys cant even keep track of who's coming and who's going I was there for MORE than 1 day of training so get that straight. And how many checks has your company been able to KEEP due to the HIGHEST turn over rate that I have ever seen? This company basically has an ONGOING ad on craigslist for what reason? hmmm and when I was offered the job I was told that all of the employees were new and under 6 months. I decided NOT to come back. I was offered a much better position and that makes me unprofessional? RIGHT!!! GET REAL!!! Should I post the text messages from the owner of the company who continued to contact me even when I asked him several times not to? That can easily be next. But I'd like to just be done with this whole ordeal.....

#4 UPDATE Employee

HONESTLY.....

AUTHOR: Team Player - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 19, 2015

I am a current employee and have nothing but good things to say about Chick's Marketing. The owner and HR personnel are ALWAYS professional. The company has been around for a long time and THIS is the FIRST complaint EVER. I have been with the company for a year now and I met the person filing this complaint. What it boils down to, is that we made a mistake hiring this person to begin with. She turned out to be HIGHLY unprofessional, which is clearly evident in her ignorance of how paycheck processing works. We use a very reputable company (ADP), which I'm sure everyone knows, to process our checks. Therefore, we do not have manual checks handy to give out since taxes and deductions need to be accounted for and paid out to the appropriate government agencies. If you do not fill out your timesheet as explained during your day 1 orientation, how is our payroll processing person supposed to know what hours you worked and approved? So, when this woman finally filled out her timesheet, it was sent for processing immediately. We have our checks sent via UPS from ADP weekly, so when we received the check we contacted her to see if she wanted it mailed or if she was going to pick it up, which is when the whole drama happened. I hope anyone reading this can understand that we just hired a bad egg and it came back to bite us. However, it is our one and only complaint for a reason! We pride ourselves in professionalism and our family/team promoting environment. We are an award winning business and you will not get to experience this after ONE day of training.

What a joke!!!!!

AUTHOR: Ihatescams - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 19, 2015

FIRST OFF!!!! After having to meet up with a so called "SUPERVISOR" to sign for my paycheck under the assumption that she would also have my check OF COURSE she did NOT have it with her Why they think its ok to give people the run around I'm not sure.....Then after calling to speak to the RUDEST, UNPROFESSIONAL human resource director and asked when I would be receiving my check she was "busy" She called me back another day later and said she could put it in the mail. Why she had not already done that? I have no idea. At that point I did not trust them to actually place the check in the mail. So I then had to go out to ANOTHER location and sign ANOTHER form before FINALLY receiving my check. Then Monday morning at 7:30am I began receiving rude text messages from the OWNER of the company. I had to ask him SEVERAL times to not contact me again or I would take further action.....Now you tell me if thats PROFESSIONAL!!!! FYI I had multiple days of training there......Good luck to this company I'm done with it!!!!

#2 General Comment

Take responsiblity for yourself.

AUTHOR: Janis S. - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 19, 2015

I am a colleague of Chick's Marketing. I know firsthand the professionalism and attention to detail the owner and HR Manager provide.

The issue here: an employee who can't get it together to pick up their check. When you leave a position after ONE day, and refuse to have the check delivered to you via Certified mail and choose direct pick-up, then YOU are the one with the problem.

Taking space on Rip-off Report for your own inadequcies that have nothing to do a company is a waste of space.

If you are looking for a great place to work with unlimited potential, check out Chick's Marketing. They are a great company with a familial support system.

THIS COMPLAINT IS A LIE

AUTHOR: B REAL - ()

POSTED: Monday, January 19, 2015

I work for Chick's Marketing and handle the distribution of paychecks. I know EXACTLY who is person is and she is simply lying! First of all, she was extremely unprofessional by showing up for training one day (2 hours) and never showing up again. So, She doesn't even know what actually working for Chick's Marketing is like. Employees are family and are very happy with the company. Secondly, she didn't follow procedure clearly explained during orientation. Just like any other business you must COMPLETE YOUR TIMESHEET in order to get paid the hours worked. Lastly, we actually accomodated this ungrateful person by sending her check out with an employee for her to pick it up. You are usually given three options: Sign up for direct deposit, pick up the check in our office or we can mail your check. This person told us she couldn't pick up her check because it didn't coincide with her schedule, however, she didn't want it mailed because she needed it right away. So, we tried sending it to be picked up from one of our retail locations closest to her, but again, it didn't coincide with her schedule. Therefore, we sent it to the next available retail location, which she wasn't happy with. Again, ungratefully posting a complaint instead of appreciating how we went out of our way to give her the check for ONE DAY OF TRAINING.
