This company thrives on thievery and
deceit of their customers and insurance companies. They refer to themselves as Chip Artists,
when in reality, they are nothing more than scam
artists.
As a former employee of this unscrupulous
business, I can tell you first-hand about the massive level of insurance fraud
that they commit. First of all, 90% of the windshield repairs are bogus. I have witnessed their employees repairing
windshield pits that pose no risk of spreading.
A windshield pit is a tiny chip in the windshield, less than 1/8 in diameter
with no need for repair, yet the employees are instructed to sell these chip
repairs by preying on the customers fear of losing their windshield due to a
spreading crack. Most of ChipFixers
employees do not know that this is fraudulent, because Andrew Simckes, the
owner, hires men fresh out of prison or that he picks up at the Salvation Army
having no previous knowledge or auto glass experience whatsoever.
Another issue with this company is that this job is technically a sales
position, and the employees are paid based on commission. The sales reps are assigned inside sales
positions, not outside sales, so the company is required to meet the federal
minimum wage guidelines; if their earned commission does not equal at least
$7.25/hour per pay period, they are required to adjust their wages as such. Needless to say, he does not meet this
requirement.
Although the employees are required to work 60 hours per week, their hours are
not documented on their paychecks at all (under hours they write in 0) so that
they can get away with not paying their employees minimum wage. If an employee does not meet his quota, then
they could face suspension and disciplinary actions such as having miscellaneous
deductions from their paycheck for advances they never received.
To put it briefly, if you are ever at a lube shop or car wash and a ChipFixer
employee inspects your windshield for chips, I ask please for your sake, steer
clear of this company and their fraud. Save you and your insurance company time
and money by going to a real glass company that is not going to lie, cheat, or
steal.

I completely agree with this post they do nothing but rip people off all day long . I had my windshelid repaired by one the the people that work for this company , while he was repairing my windshield that really didn't need to be repaired I later found out this employee of chip fixer , named will was also high at the time , I know cuz he told me he was , I then contacted the owner of the company to let him know cuz it says on there website that they do drug testing but they don't . I know this because even after telling the owner of this employees drug use he is still employed by this company . I don't know about you but I sure wouldn't want someone working on my car that's high
