6/18/2013   -   Called Choice Home Warranty and submitted claim. At that time got assigned AC agent Air Force Heating and Air; starting calling AC agent that day to set up an appointment

6/20  -  Finally got call back from AC Agent Took, schedule first appointment.

Next 5 days

1st appointment day - called to verify technician was coming - Air Force Heating and Air confirmed they were. The failed to show up, call the next day to reschedule

2nd appointment day - called to verify technician was coming - Air Force Heating and Air confirmed they were. The failed to show up, call the next day to reschedule

3rd appointment day - called to verify technician was coming - Air Force Heating and Air confirmed they were. They showed up late

Day of repair - Technician claimed that issue was low Freon, and stated he would add more to resolve and close issue. For a few days, this action appeared to correct the failure.

Technical made a suggestion (did not state it was a root cause of failure) that we get AC system air blow / clean.  We asked if technician would do this, he stated they did not do this; so we obtain a second company conduct this maintenance action within 48 hours.

Weekend before week of July 1st  AC again failed.  We again called Choice Home Warranty, who refused to follow up to issue until we provided written paperwork that we had conducted “out of scope” maintenance (for which we did not receive any written or verbal notice that this was the root cause of first failure – only that it was “suggested” we do it)

7/10 - Faxed requested invoice / paperwork to Choice Home Warranty of said maintenance action.  At that time requested a company besides Air Force Heating and Air for unprofessional behavior, and questionable competence; Home Warranty refused

7/11 – Choice Home Warranty again set up follow up with Air Force Heating and Air.  Company refused to answer their phone so Choice Home Warranty set an appointment the next day with new contractor

7/12 Choice Home Warranty contractor no show for 8:30 appointment, was a no show.  We called contractor of Choice Home Warranty and he reschedualed for 3 pm.  We called contractor at 3:30 pm, only got answering service.  We called Choice Home Warranty and they were also unable to get second contractor, so they assigned a third contractor.

7/13 Third contractor showed up, expressed dismay on first contractor actions – said they basicly did nothing to fix.  He reviewed AC and said it needed to just be replaced - system was just too old to fix. 

7/14 Third contractor called said he advised that Choice Home Warranty they should just replace.  We should just wait for them to approve.

7/17 – After hearing noting from Choice Home Warranty for 3 days called their main number.  They advised they would were denying claim, were not going to honor contract and replace – or even attempt to repair AC.  We threaten lawsuit for failing to honor agreement, agent basically laughed and said – very sarcastically, “go ahead and try.”  We canceled service agreement that day.  They did state that they would not charge us the normal $50 cancelation fee, but there would be no refunds.
