Choice promotional is a waste of your time. I would know from experience I sent a resume to them and the next day I was called in for an interview. On careerbuilder and every other job site they are located on the job seems interesting and full of promise towards young grads and people looking for a career in marketing in a respected field but this company is the total opposite of what they write online. I will explain what my experience was like before I made the right decision to not take the job with these guys.

Like I was saying before I was called in for an interview the day after I submitted my resume and when I went in for the interview the office looked very professional and promising but as I was waiting to be called in after I filled out an application paper the human resource manager (tara) was calling at least 40 other people to come in for an interview as she was sayin she reviewed their resume and wanted them to come in for an interview but she wasnt even looking at resumes she was jus calling off of a list of people who submitted online.

I was called in to speak to the owner of the business (Josh) and he gave me simple run down of the company for about 15 minutes and said he would choose who he would like to come back for a second interview around 6:00pm and give them call. I got a call back and scheduled a time to go back. I wasnt 100% about it but I decided to go with it anyway. I get there and i was told the interview was from 9-6 with an employee that shows you how the company works all day. i agree to go with him and I realize the jobs is Door to Door sales all day long 12 hours a day making appointments for different companies. You get to ask the employees as much questions as possible and he told me they pay you $45 for every appointment ( no sale no money) no benefits no nothing!!. Thank god I didnt take this job I hope this was good enough info for anyone not to take this job

SCAM

AUTHOR: Sassy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 13, 2009

It is completely a scam. Do not listen to those that try to make it seem as if these companies are genuine. The one thing these fake marketing companies do accomplish is cleaning up their tracks. They try their best to keep the name they are using clean but eventually too many people confirm suspicions and then they change the company name they are using. I have found 3 company names listed under the same address and the same phone number. They were all scam marketing companies. Be smart. Do not do door to door sales.

I have been working for this company for over a year now and not only have I been to meetings and put up in a five star hotel in Miami Florida, but I have also been to Richmond and Atlantic City and that is less than a year. I was right out of school when I started and living on my own. I started by making $500 a week I now make a lot more than that. We do event marketing here, and we have a Home Improvement division that does have meetings at clients homes to do observe the amount of work (I guess if you can call that door to door you need to go to their doors and the next client that you meet with their door too...) Our events are based in hospitals, colleges, everywhere we can get our hands on to market our clients that we promote, (Sixers, Phantoms, Wings, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut...) Ect... We have a new line of Victoria Jackson Make-up that we are just begining to hit off... I couldnt believe when our human resources manager told us she was having a hard time getting interviews in the door because of some story someone made up who has no idea about our company at all. You would think since we have over 200 offices nationwide... and our managers and owners here are makeing a lot more than $150,000 per year that people wouldn't be calling us a scam. Its your choice if you decide to interview with Choice Promotional Group, but if you are looking to succede in a Marketing Career, take my advice and join with us!
