Operating illegally is a ripoff!

AUTHOR: imamac - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, February 18, 2011

Operating as a mover (or hauler) without License, permits, registering as required, Workers Comp, business license, etc. "is" operating illegally.

Operating illegally "is" a ripoff! When customers want to hire a mover, they expect someone who is experienced, knowledgeable, "LEGAL'", and who is covered.

NOT someone who says they are a mover, but can't or won't get licensed, insured, pay taxes, etc.
Just because you can pick something up & move it, doesn't make someone a mover.

Too many "guys with a pickup truck" think they are movers but end up not performing as professionals.
Work for a qualified moving company for a minimum of 7 years then get a business license, permits, Insurance, Worker Comp, Comm. auto liability, Register with the proper authorities, and be in business for at least 5-10 years....Then you will be a professional mover that anyone would be happy to hire.

Giving "Low-Ball" estimates to get work is not professional...or maybe that's all these guys are worth, a "low-ball" price for "low-ball" work.

Leave the real jobs to the real movers that can guarantee the safety of the customers possessions.
(it's called insurance & Experience)

This gentleman is not a "con-artist" or "scammer"! He has helped me out before and he is just a man trying to survive in this tough economy.
