Christopher Doherty Tempurpedic Scam Fraud Craigslist Mattress Internet

The same post written below was also listed in the furniture classifieds in Chas. SC, and unfortunately, I fell for it.
This is the first time I've bought anything off Craigslist. Estatic over my good luck in seeing this post, I was blinded by my own eagerness and was unsuspicious when 'Chris' said he was leaving town the next day but that he could have the mattress sent to me.
This afternoon I received an off brand memory foam mattress.
He accepted the payment through Paypal, so currently a claim is pending. The notes written under the ad are our attempts "to resolve the dispute with the merchant" before actually filing a claim.
And normally, I wouldn't find his requests in returning the item unreasonable but he seems to have sort of personal affixiation with the box he sent it in. And he will not accept the mattress unless it is in the same box it was sent in which is a strange request seeing as he sent the mattress in a box that was literaly held together with packing tape.

Just didn't someone else to be taken in by this.

Was the Mattress ever shipped back? Did you decide to keep it? I'd just like to tell my mom when to receive it at 318 Main St. W. Newbury, MA 01985. That's fine if you kept it, Either way, Could you be kind enough to communicate back? I jumped and asked "how high" to send it and followed through on my end from the very beginning... I'm just confused why no one has returned my phone calls with the Tracking Info, Or whatever you've decided.. I thought I was dealing with Military here.. For any legal information the tracking number for the sent mattress set is 1ZOAW8580351972525. The customer has received and signed for this mattress set. If customer is unwilling to accept the mattress, I agree to issue a full refund in the amount of $879.00 if Product is in it's exact boxed, and unwrapped condition as sent Tuesday, 5/20/08, From my Parents Farm In Derry. If the Mattress is unopened, Damaged, Slept on, scented with smoke or Pet debris, The agreement for refund is Null..

I'm baffled! Without Argument, Please return the Mattress set to My Paypal Account address listed in my account. To reiterate, the address is 318 Main St. West Newbury, MA 01985. Upon receipt of the mattress you will get a full refund. I'll be in new englang for the next week, so If you ship out tomorrow, I'll receive it by MON/Tuesday.. Please Make sure that the mattress is unopened, in it's original box, and undamaged.. Of 9 other people I chose to send the Mattress I chose you folks, I know It's just a typical "mail order scenario, but If you couldn't afford my tempurpedic, why did you buy it in the first place... You sent us a copy of Tempur pedic. This is not a Tempur pedic mattress as you avertised on craigslist.com. You also lied about your location as far as being in Myrtle Beach, SC. After seeing multiple adds on craigslist across the nation, we realize you are using paypal as an intermediary to scam people. We want our money back.
