Hello,
I am reporting Chris Lake for fraud, scamming, tax evasion, and working with a expired CPA liscence.
Chris Lake called my family a couple days ago offering a home loan for 40,000 dollars with a 25% interest rate over 30 years. In addition, he demanded that my family give him 1,500 dollars by the next day or the loan would no longer be available. After calling him to verify some of his information, he got very rude, and claimed that he could no longer offer the loan.
After doing some research, I found that his website http://northstardebtadvisory.com is simple a copy of his old website http://christopherlakecpa.com Which has been running for 7 years with the exact same reviews. The number on the website isn't the number to a business, but to his personal land line. In addition, after research of reviews and his phone number, I've found that not only does he scam, but he is very rude.
His business is not registered, and he is under investigation by the attourney general for tax evasion. In addition to this, he is under investigating by the Accountancy board of Ohio for claiming to have a CPA while his is expired. If you're wondering, his innactive CPA liscence number is : 27114.
He used to work for "FIRST OHIO BANC & LENDING, INC.", a company with a BBB rating of F. The company is still active somehow, but I found no information on it as of yet.
I'm still doing research, if I can edit this later to add more information, I will.

After talking with the Boss of Chris Lake, I've found that this is NOT a scam or Fraud. I've found that Chris Lake is operating under the Company: North Point Financial-- which also has an F rating with the BBB. That being said, it seems that this company, though it recieved several nagative reviews is NOT a scam or fraud. Simply bad business in my oppinion. I hereby recind my claim that Chris Lake is scamming, or commiting fraud. In addition, I don't think he or she is commiting Tax Evasion.
All this aside, I would still highly recommend individuals do not do business with this person. If you do, please do some research on his or her past before you make any big decissions. The Gentleman I talked to who works with him. "John Young" seems to agree that he has a very bad attitude, but assures me that he is not commiting Fraud or scamming people.
