On Sept. 14, 2007 I shipped my rare 1955 chevy nomad parts to Dave Parks for replating with half of payment $450.00. He received parts on Sept. 18th. On Oct. 6, 2007 he left me a phone message that my parts were done, looked great and would ship them all the next day if I paid balance $450.00 and additional 70.50 for repairs.

Needless to say he kept money and never did parts. He also refuses to give me my propery back not done or done as he was paid in full to do. I have heard from others with the same problem. However he responds to this just remember it has been 10 months and my money and parts are gone. I have all the phone messages and emails that my parts are being shipped and never were. Don't let this happen to you.

Dave Parks offered me a credit instead of a refund. I reluctantly send some engine brackets and pulleys to him. He plated the parts and I had them back within 30 days. I'm pleased with the work and hoping we can start over, Don

It has been another 6 months and of course no refund from Dave Parks. He changes his business name but just remember Dave Parks when your money and parts are gone. I just thought I would update this report to say nothing has changed with Dave and Olympia Parks. Some of you are still sending him parts for some unknown reason. A few new customers have contacted me but are afraid to file here because Olympia and Dave are holding their parts hostage. Of course they have already been paid in full. You have been warned!!!!!!! I will try to update sooner next time. Like all of Olympia and Daves customers I have always hoped they would send refund, but I doubt I will live that long.

Chrome Express banned from Ebay now Chrome Shop

Dave said my parts were done and looked great 2 1/2 years ago when he needed money. Now they were not repairable when he finally shipped them 2 years later. The parts have since repaired by a quailified plater. Dave says he can do repairs and plating, but simple grind and plate is his expertise. It wasn't my friends that got Dave thrown off ebay! I would not recomend Dave's plating to any of my friends, that is unless I no longer want them as friends. Dave got thrown off Ebay because of numerous customer complaints that he never responded to customers and more important to ebay. He is now back on Ebay under his new account Chrome Shop. He also has it set-up as an ad so you can't leave negative feedback which he is famous for. Before you send parts to Dave, at Chrome Shop,at Chrome Express, or where ever just think. Why didn't he just say when he recieved my parts and 1/2 the money he wouldn't be able to them. If he was honest, do parts he could and tell me parts he couldn't, and return all parts and tell me with any balance due. He won't refund my money because he says he doesn't have it. He always has an excuse for not shipping your parts, refund, repair,etc. He likes the attention ripoffreport is giving him. There may be some idiots out ther sending him parts now and a few weeks from now you will report here because you will get the customer service Dave is known for!!!!

Don't send parts to Chrome Express

Returned parts 2 years later not done! Of course I no longer had car to put them on. He kept all the money for repair and replating that he never performed. So like I said before if you want to throw away your money and maybe never see you parts again send them to Chrome Express.

PARTS HAVE ALL BEEN RETURNED!  EVEN THE BROKEN ONES THAT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED.  I do owe don for the cost of the plating on the broken ones that could not be fixed.  I will pay him AFTER;  he admits he has received the parts, and apologizes for posting that I sold his parts.  Also, after he admits that he is the reason I have a 60% on ebay, and that he got people to lie for him.

I have changed my name, but not because of 5 customers.  I have thousands of very happy customers.  I changed my name because I liked the name "The Chrome Shop" better.  Anyone that wants chrome work done call me at 704-888-0112 I can supply references before you ship your order, and mention Don Ulen and I will give you a 15% discount on your order...Thanks, Dave   "The Chrome Shop"

Rare Nomad Parts Sold by Chrome Express

It was 1 year ago today I recieved this message from Dave Parks. Hey Don its Dave, it's 1 oclock Sunday afternoon and I'm just about there and I need you to wire me some money so I can finish this out and get it to you. Call me back asap if I'm not here Olympia will give you instructions to finish this out. I can't take a check this time because it takes 14 days to clear. I need some money, money, money to pay my guys and get this out to you tomorrow. Give me a call today. Bye. As I said on Sept 6, 2008 I was praying for return of the rest of my parts and put an end to this situation with Dave Parks and Chrome Express. Dave was in a rush for his money and I wired it that day but it's a year later. Needless to say I never got any more parts.The remaining 6 parts were all in pairs and sold on Ebay.

Chrome express , goldmama24 on ebay is now chromeguy24 on ebay. He had to change name for reasons you can read in these 5 ripoffreports. Learn by my and other peoples mistakes and get your chrome done somewhere else, you will be glad you did.

Praying to get my parts back from Chrome Express Dave Parks

For some reason Dave sent me 2 of my 8 parts, maybe thanks to you Rita.But like I said now another excuse not to send me the remaining parts. Now my parts were missing studs and he wants another email.I send 20 screws so I believe I knew studs were missing. He even says in 1 or more of his emails about soldering screws on and another delay on shipping. Maybe this update will be enough and he will send my repaired [ broken] screws installed [studs broken] and replated parts. I hope to finally put this to an end, then as Rita says we can all call him the Chrome King. I would like to update soon and say got my repaired,screwings installed, replated parts, but I doubt that will happen. Well thank you all for your interest in my report. Hm, sounds like a kid pulling another kid's arm behind his back and telling him to say, uncle, I'm a loser, I eat poop, I'm ugly, etc.

Dave sir, As I see it and anyone that reads this will see it, you are now in the possession of stolen property.
You have this man's money, and you have his parts.
What more can he do to get "his" property back?

It seems to me that you have some control issues-
You don't like what he had to say and therefor
you're going to punish him good.

Give the man his dang parts back and we'll all come back to this site and state what a wonderful guy you are-
The jack of all trades of the chrome industry; the king of Chrome; the icing on a chrome cake. We'll kiss your cyber feet.

Chrome Express holds parts hostage 60% ebay rating many unhappy Don Ulen 100% positive over 300 happy customers you decide who's insane

Like Dave just admitted to he gets all your money [ paid in full] then holds your parts hostage as Rod also said in his rip off report. Dave creates his own problems he doesn't need any help.If he would do his job as a chrome plater and plate parts and ship them to his customers he wouldn't have problems.It's been almost a year he has had my parts and he had Rod's for over 9 months. If you want to throw money away sent it to Dave, but don't send parts you will probably never see them again. Check my ebay feedback at 357 100% positive over 300 happy ebayers. Check Daves 60% lots of unhappy ebayers and I hear from more all the time, but that should end soon he is off ebay now. Also check the Better Business Bureau on Chrome Express. He says about an email about parts needing repair. Like I said in my rip off report I paid $70.50 extra for repairs.Why would I pay extra for repairs if part not broken. I sent repair emails but still won't ship parts because probably sold. Since my first report I've heard from several other customers that have not recieved their parts. You decide if I'm insane for wanting my parts to be returned to me a year after I paid in full to get them repaired and replated. There I go again saying that they needed repair but watch he still won't ship. I wish this was over and he would ship me my repaired [ said it again] and replated parts. He will come up with some other excuse not to send them he always does. Email me with any questions or other chrome express stories. Don

For your own Sanity Do not every do work for Don Ulen!!!

Mr. Ulen likes to tell only part of the whole story. He has sent TWO (2) orders. The first order was completed and returned and he liked it so much he sent another order. All of his parts for the second order have been returned with the exception of 8 pieces. I have told him they would ship, when and only when he sends me a email stating that he knew they were broken with bondo & JB weld when he sent them to me. He has caused so many problems with his partial story, that I will not send them back before I get that confirmation or he will get back on the web and tell everyone I broke them, or that they aren't his parts (which he already tried, however, I had pictures of when they arrived). I have NOT OR EVER WILL sell his parts. I do have them, and the only one delaying thier delivery is Mr. Ulen. Mr. Ulen likes to play the victim.

Mr. Ulen and another "gentleman" decided to gang up on me and start telling half truths. The other guy, has also received his parts, however, he likes to take pictures of the back sides and in low light and post them as his done parts. Instead of the fronts of the parts that show and in good lighting.

People often wonder why it is so hard to find a chrome plater....Mr. Ulen is a great example of why so many get out of the business.
