While going through my divorce I fell behind on my auto payment so I called Chrysler financial to tell them that I was sending them a payment in the mail I was 60 days late so I felt that I should call them to tell them that I mailed the payment. While I was on the phone with those Rude and Obnoxious Aholes they told me that I had to cancel my check and that I had to pay it by phone, I explained that I didnt have time to go to my bank and that I couldnt afford to pay a stop payment on the check as well as pay the western union that they were trying to force on me. I explained to the person to just make a note that I had mailed the payment and that it would be there within a few days, I went to my ATM the night before the Repo man came and got my vehicle the payment had gone through so I was up to date. I went to work in my other vehicle when I got home from work My vehicle that was financed with chrysler financial had been repoed I thought that someone had stolen it or that my x had taken it so I called the police dept and they explained that it had been repoed. I called chrysler Financial and they were rude telling me that I had to pay the 980 dollars for what I do not know because my payment had already gone through the bank and then when I called the towing company they charged me another 500 dollars just to get my vehicle out of their yard..I payed them both just because I did not a repo on my credit but I feel that they have done me wrong in so many ways that I would never buy another Chrysler product or ever use their financing..............Mr b

Wrong!!!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, December 19, 2010

You people must have ice water in your veins. You need to understand this gentlemen was caught in still another one of those life circumstances that wasn't his fault. The reason the economy is so bad is the big banks and finance companies are taking advantage of the poor and unfortunate. This gentleman probably didn't have money to pay for a phone or even make a phone call! So then, this giant, multibillion dollar loan company conspired with this towing company to pick up the car and together conspired in an extortion project to get even more money from the little guy. Dig deeper and you'll find the billions and billions in tax payer money which went to Chrysler and probably the towing company as well. There's more. The tow truck company knew somebody who wanted that exact make, model and color of car. The end result is this little guy, gives up his car by force! Welcome to America! There needs to be a Federal investigation at the highest level of these things. Our President is the only one who stands up for us little people! Notice how he has kept gas prices low! Notice how so many of the cell phone companies are offering flat rate plans? Bush didn't do that! Barrach did!!! I am seeing lower prices in many things and its all because our President and has untiring efforts to help all of us...no matter your sex, your race, your origin or your orientation. What a time to be alive! And when have we had such a diversity in daily life? I look forward to every day learning more and more about the cultures of our friends south of the border!

So, take a break from counting your stock dividends, your cash supply and your seambusting portolios and have a heart. This gentleman was simply caught in a life storm. It wasn't his responsibility to baby sit a multi billion dollar loan company! They, like you, should be understanding.

I have used Chrysler Financial before

I bought my car many years ago and financed through Chrysler. All you needed to do was call them and explain your situation. I had the same problem as you only I called before my payment was late. What I got to do is defer a payment. I still had to pay the interest but that payment got pushed back to the end of the loan period. I think companies are more willing to work with you before you get behind rather than when you are behind.

The check is in the mail..

Yea like banks have NEVER heard that one before.

So in the entire 60 days that you were late you never talked to them? It never occured to you to ask them..gee how should I pay you since I am 60 days late.

I wonder why? Perhaps it was because you were trying to float funds. That way if this is the case you could call them up and tell them the check is in the mail, hoping that that gives you another 5-10 days before they start to wonder where their money is again.

I would never buy another Chrysler product or ever use their financing

- You really think any other financing company would have treated you any different...think again.
