In June of 2002 I financed a truck with them and I told the dealer at the time that I wanted my due date to be on the 26th of each month. reason being I have a Jeep that I pay for on the 15th of the month. somehow the payment date was swithed to the 11th of each month.
I called chrysler and was told I would have to make three months payment before they could change my payment date and I would have to pay to have the changes made. I agreed. in August they were suposed to make the swithch but it was not done. so I called them again and spoke to a nickie who said " she will go ahead and take my payment over the phone and I should call back the following day to request the date change. I called the following day and spoke to someone name Edward, after asking me for some information assured me that the date was change and that i will see in on my next statement. but my next statement had the 11th as my due date still, so I called again and was told that there was noting on my account requesting a date change or that I paid for the service.
I was transfered to a Nick then to Vern eventually Vern told me it was changed in his system and he did not see why I was told it was not change. He also assured me that the problem was now fixed. I went online and start to make payment only to see that the date was still not changed and I was aquiring late charges.
I sent two E-mails to Chryler and got a atomated response saying they had forwarded my complain to the corredt department and I would get a response within five business day. It never happened, so I called them again only to be told that they could not find anywhere in my account where I made the payment to change my payment date and there fore I will have to pay the late fees of over $97.00 and becaude the account has late charges they would not be able to change my payment date at this time.
The Lord must have been with me because after Talking to them I was filing some papers and found the confirmation letter sent to me when I made the paymet. I called back the 18002221701 number and spoke to Kerry Stewart a supervisor and she said yes it was paid for and she was changing the date as we speak and will send me a confirmariton letter in the mail.
Well, I am waiting to see if she is a lier or if she will come true to her words. but I dont trust anyone at Chrysler anymore I find them to be liers and lazy. Untill I found the confirmation letter they keep on telling me they could not find where the payment was made but in the next breath when I told them I had my confirmation letter and read the information back to them miricle of miricle oops they found where the paymet was made and claim they will fix it now. Strange is'nt?
I am making sure this does not happen to anyone else in the future. and what ever you do keep a paper trail. Its a shame how these people can mess up your credit and you cant do much to them. but people out there reading this
CALLING ALL CONSUMER WE HAVE THE POWER TO REGULATE THESE COMPANIES.
WE ARE THE ONES WITH THE POWRER IF WE DON'T BUY THERE PODUCT THEY ARE DONE. IT'S PASS TIME FOR US THE CONSUMER TO USE THE POWER WE HAVE TO GET THE SERVICE WE NEED.
