CIC Consumerinfo.com unauthorized charge of 79.95 for "free credit report" avoid it! consumer fraud ripoff Orange California

CIC consumerinfo.com is selling credit reports. They are charging 79.95 upon 30 days free trial expiration period. It could be difficult to sue them because they are only doing what ONE asks them to do.

It's difficult not to get excited about knowing one's credit report (Marketing works!); but what is totally unaceptable is they not to let you know BEFORE YOU EVEN PUT THE FIRST LETTER OF YOUR NAME that the charge will be of 79.95 starting the day X (30 days after you sign up).

On the other hand, there should be any agency of consumers protection that orders these type of companies writing perfectelly clear how much, why, how and when one will be charged. Also, that agency should obligate this companies to send some kind of reminder about the charge so that ones doesn't get overdraft on one's account.

I asked my "membership" to be cancelled (after 5 days of their charge) and they replied they will refund my money. I hope they really do otherwise I'll continue looking the way to they stop doing that kind of bad business.

But what one has to learn about that is that one must be very very careful and read completelly what one is "receiving for free" (NOTHING is free in this world, actually); and, take the time to doublecheck in this site www.ripofrepport.com before engaging on any thing.
