About a month ago I signed up to get a free credit report from consumerinfo.com. After filing out all the information they told me they would send me notification in the mail with a PIN number so I could access my credit report online. This was supposed to arrive in 5-7 business days, this never came.
I forgot about the 30 day trial period since I never received my pin number to access the credit report. On November 4, 2003 I was charged 79.95 for the "membership." The membership was supposed to include email updates about how to better your credit, which were never received.
I am going to try and recover my money from CIC Credit since I am paying for a product that I never received. I am also going to contact one of our news stations that does periodic reports on companies that rip people off. Hopefully more consumers will become informed about this company and not get ripped off like I did.
