Read Terms and Conditions and small print....

I also work for the debit dispute department in a very large bank and I have to say that this is one of our main dispute reasons, and the reason why is because people don't read the Terms and Conditions of these sites and clubs before handing over their bank information! They tell you right on tv and all of their ads that enrollment is required and by reading the small print you will see that they will be charging you, usually once a month. The majority of disputes are because people don't read the Terms and Conditions and they also seem to forget that the word "trial" means that if you do not cancel within the allowed amount of time that you are automatically enrolled in whatever they have going. If you sign up for a trial, you have to cancel, or bam-you're in! Anyone who asks for any financial information, there's a reason why they ask for it!

had you read the fine print

I work for a bank in the fraud/dispute department. I cannot tell you how many times a week we get calls for triple advantage. I myself had fallen for the scam in the past however had contacted the number and was able to resolve with the merchant. Now freecreditreport.com states on their commercials and on the main page of the website that the free credit report comes with monthly enrollment in triple advantage. It also states on the website that if you do not cancel service within the 7 day free trial that you will be charged 14.95 on a monthly basis. (keep in mind all this info is clearly stated on their main webpage) this information can also be found in their terms and conditions. its a pretty sad world when people are quick to point fingers...but forget how many are pointing back at them. READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. READ EVERYTHING VERY CAREFULLY PRIOR (THAT BEING THE KEY WORD) to providing your debit/credit card info. had you read the policy...you would have been prepared for the charge or you would have cancelled. no rip off here...only lack of personal responsability.
