I went to expecting a credit report for leasing an apt. Before I even finished, I had to enter personal information. Once the credit card numbers were pulled up, I exited.

The lovely, a supposedly trusted name in credit reporting, has forwarded my credit card numbers to CIC*Triple Advantage, which has enrolled me in their great protection program. None of this was presented to me, or emailed to me.

I have yet to receive one email from this service that I am paying for. Nothing. I had not swiped my card, entered my card information, or authorized the charge. Please advise.

Cancel the membership.

You need to cancel the membership with triple advantage to stop the monthly charges.

You signed up for a trial of their triple advantage credit monitoring service. You were notified of this TWICE on their website.

From their HOME PAGE:

When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 7-day trial period**, you will be billed $14.95 for each month that you continue your membership., Inc. and are not affiliated with the annual free credit report program. Under a new Federal law, you have the right to receive a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies. To request your free annual report under that law, you must go to'''

From the 'Step 2' page where you enter your credit card information:

''Your credit card will not be charged during the free trial period. However, valid credit card information is required to establish your account.''
