On August 14th at Midnight 2008 we were to see "Star Wars Clone Wars" the animated version at Theater 424 the Orleans in Las Vegas. We entered the theater and saw one of the male employees trying to impress the ticket girl. He was being rude making fun of the "Dance Dance Revolution" kids. I told him openly that's great you should get on the machine. Then we went to the ticket girl and she told me that the tickets I bought on-line could be scanned and then she says but it's broken so I'll have to give you a ticket. I said okay, I gave her the print out and she gave us the tickets. We proceeded to the concession stand. When we were walking towards the entrance of the theatre we saw about five different employees just standing around and talking openly. One of them was a young gentleman, blonde short hair and a little heavy, 5'7. He sarcastically asked us, like he knew us if we were going to see the "Star Wars" movie. We answered yes and they all laughed at us, I felt openly insulted by him. I was angry, I told turned the tables on him and said you're a closet fan aren't you!!! "Yeah, that's what you are closet fan." and walked straight to the theatre, instead of buying something. During the previews the sound was off. I complained that I couldn't hear George Lucas's interview, another employee enters the room explains that the reels did not come with the right sound, something about it being digitized. I ask "Why didn't you tell us about this when we were at the ticket line?" He says "I am not the manager", I ask for the manager and the manager never came forward. The movie started and thirty minutes later the movie cuts off. I am right now "IRATE". I walk out to look for the manager I tell the manager about my whole visit there and that I would like to get my money back. She says we can't because we bought them from Fandango, but I will give you a rain check. I said okay I guess that will have to do, thanks. When she goes to get them the same employee the young gentleman, blonde short hair and a little heavy, 5'7", said to us rudely "Oh, what happen now?" in a very sarcastic way. I was so mad. I told him to get the "F" away from me, and said I don't "F***ing" know you. (Please excuse my bad language) I called him a jackass and a jerk. I called them all incompetent; this is my opinion of your night shift employees. So, I ask for the manager's number and was given a name, Mr. Art Murtha. When I calmed down about the situation I called Mr. Murtha at 8:00PM on August 27th 2008, not realizing it was his personal line that the person gave me. I explained that I was a customer and I had a problem. He told me that first of all this is my personal line and if I would call his office line. I apologized to him letting him know that I had no idea that this was his home phone. I then told him that I will call I change my mind I would rather do it on-line, since he was not interested in what I had to say and said thank you and hung up. My question is, is he on salary, isn't that an on-call position? I just want you to know I am going to send this report to the BBB, Ripp-off report, to Fandango and to the manager of the Orleans hotel in Las Vegas. I wouldn't stay there if they hire this calibur of people. Thank you for the WORSE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I will never go to a Cinemark Theater again. I am a movie fanatic. You have lost my business I will now see all my movies at Rave movie theatres. My phone number is (((ROR redacted)))
