On December 13th, 2006, I purchased an HP/M7640N computer and Samsung monitor from Circuit City with a four year extended warranty. They filed Chapter Eleven and closed their doors in November 2008.
The CD/DVD burner(s) on the CPU has ceased to operate. Who is going to honor the warranty that I paid for so I can get my computer repaired? I cannot contact Circuit City by phone or internet. No answer.
I am angry because I have been ripped-off - Big Time!
PLEASE HELP!

i work for an appliance co. that uses GE/ assurant as the warranty provider. IF a service cannot be located, they are still required to resolve your issue. It may take time but don't give up. Options are usually to replace it or they may suggest you locate your own - pay for it- and they'll reimburse you. Try doing that
