We went to Circuit City to purchase a remote Starter for Our 2002 Trail Blazer. My husband told the sales person that we would like to have a starter wih a remote that would have the same options that our factory remote has. He was told that the DEI Pyhon1400xp would do this. WRONG After the remote was installed I found out it would not make the horn beep to confirm that the doors were locked, the panic button would not work and it would unlock all of the doors instead diver's then the rest and it also would not turn on my lights.When I went back to question them about it Matt the installer said it should but he was not sure what he needed to hook up for these to work. Matt told us he would call DEI in the morning and check it out. When I called him the next day I was told that that he could not figure out how to make these options work.

So I told them that I would like the starter uninstalled. I was told that would not be a problem but, we were told that Circuit City would not refund the install charge of $120.00. We taked to Laura Warden the manager she told us she would do nothing to help even after she tried the remote for herself and found that it was not working properly. In the owners guide for the PYTHON is states to use the panic button to hold down the lock button for 1.5 sec and the lights should flash and the horn beep. This will not work! Guide also states that you can also have the driver's door open first then by pressing the unlock button again the others doors will unlock. NOT SO! Matt (the installer) said he could not make this work either.

Laura the manager was right there when I was told that But again she will not refund charges for installtion. Buttom line Laura the manager knows for a fact that the option buttons do not work as the owners guid states but it will start my blazer so as fare as she and Circuit City are concerned thats good enough. We would not of made this purchase if we would of been told the correct information from the beginning. We are still haveing the remote starter taken out before something else goes wrong with it and Circuit City would most likely not honor the warranty.
