Circuit City Horrible customer service, even when you get their protection plan! Huntington Beach California

I bought in about year ago a $150 DVD player from Circuit City located inside Bella Terra Mall in Huntington Beach California. For sure as usual, I had at the time to ask an employee to come help me and give me some info. I also bought their so called PROTECTION PLAN by paying extra money to cover anything that might go wrong.

Later, and to be exact, about a year later, the DVD start stalling, halting and sometimes just skipping. I put the DVD in its package and I went back to Circuit city thinking like a naive customer, that because I bought the protection plan they will be on the top of it. But for sure, NO.

I walk to customer service desk, in which behind it a girl wandering around, singing. I waited for few seconds till she noticed my existence. After that, she just looked at me without saying even Hi. Anyway, I told her about the problem , she looked my info and handed me a brochure, telling me, "Ok sir, call this phone number or go online and they will ship you a box and ship your DVD in it!" WHAT? Why should I do all that? As a customer who bought your plan, you should do that on my behalf.. now I need to wait for a box to be shipped to me, then ship the DVD, and wait on their decision!

Not only that, I went online, and I did not have some of the info they needed, so I e-mailed them. They e-mail me back a very unprofessional letter, that shows their laziness and disrespect to the customer saying, :" Here is the case number you need. We do not service DVDs. Call this number instead"
NO dear customer, or Thank you, or sorry for the inconvenience.

I may sound picky, but think about it, they got more money from me in a Jeffy for the protection plan, and now when I need them, no body cares, actually they even lack the basic rules of politeness.. Please stay away from them.
