I bought a 36 inch Sony TV and purchased an extended warranty, as suggested by the sales representive. The extended warranty is effective until 2010. Recently I had some problems with my TV. I called the cable company out to assure nothing was wrong with my cable before, I called for service thru my extended warranty. They assured me someone would call within 24 hrs. Three days later, I called again. They assured me someone would call within 24 hours. It is one and half months later and through many attempts to get some service for my TV..no one has still contacted me. I did get a rep to tell me that, they don't even have anyone that services my area. I have made many email and phone calls to try and resolve this and I keep getting the same thing.

I have phone records and emails as to when I have contacted them. They have fraudulently sold me a contract that they can not honor. I do plan to take legal action.!!

That would be a circuit city warranty

Circuit City, Best Buy, etc., sell worthless warranties. If they benefited the consumer, do you really think they would sell them?

They'll always come up with an excuse not to honor the warranty such as "normal wear and tear" or "customer's fault".

Do yourself a favor in the future, order online and don't buy an extended warranty. It's like flushing money down the toilet.

And by the way, they didn't sell you a warranty that they can't honor, they sold you a warranty they won't honor.

I encourage you to sue these monsters...you are one of many people who have been promised something and then told a different story once CC collects your money. As for the warranty, CC will give you the runaround until the end of time of it means they can save a quick buck. If you go into a small claims court with a receipt, the product, the warranty, and records of your attempt to contact people, that should be enough. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
