I received a Toshiba Notebook computer for Christmas in 2002. My wife purchased the 4 year additional warranty because it was a portable computer and the salesman saidit was a "good deal". I had a problem in 02/2005 and Micro-Medic did the repairs and they were excellent.

September of 2005, I had another problem, called for warranty and they sent a box to ship it. It went to Nexicore Company in Illinois to a receiving dock. They then forward it to California. After three more attempts to repair it, I finally received it in January, 2006. The computer did not work, the display was realy bad, the system disks did not work, the battery does not hold a charge and they stole a 512Mb SODIMM card that I added. I contacted the Circuit City Advantadge people listed on their website.

I was finally contacted by someone named "Daryl" and they said the computer couldn't be repaired. On a Sunday evening, "Mike" called and offered a used Gateway that was a close match to my Toshiba. I said that I wanted a Toshiba not a Gateway. If I wanted a Gateway, I would have bought one to begin with. After numerous phone calls and emails, they offered $680.00 for my $2000.00 investment 3 years earlier. I went without a computer for 4 months and they agreed to send me a Circuit City gift card for $680. I went to they store and bought an "Open-Box" floor demo for $900 and I still had another year of warranty left on the original computer.

They told me the warranty was void after I accepted their offer. I am waiting for the gift card to arrive so I can apply it towards the purchase. I also caled today and awaiting a return phone call from the "Resolution Team" about the rest of the money. I also purchased another "warranty" for the new Toshiba notebook, but I'm going to cancel it tomorrow. Circuit City is very hard to track down the Corporate telephone numbers and try to delay any progress. You have to keep pushing them. I also bought a HDTV 55" Sony, home theatre system with "Free 12 month financing". Ha Ha, they biled me at the 6 month period for the interest at 24%, so much for "Free".

If anyone else knows any contacts for the Corporate office, please pass them along. I hate sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
