two days talking and trouble shooting with technicians in india (13 hours on the phone), linksys finally admitted wireless router WRK54G was defective and since it was under warranty they agreed to replace it.they insisted that they have to put a hold on my credit card for the cost of a new router untill i mail at my cost the defective unit back to them. 3 days after i mailed back the defective unit thru fedex they slap a charge for 74.19 dollars on. here is the sweet part. they mail the replacement on 05/24/06 and i recieve it on 05/28/06. i mail back the defective unit on 05/02/06 thru fedex and they recieve it on the 05/04/06 . they claim it took more then 10 days so they have to charge me. help me understand how you can count 10 days from when they mail it out and when they recieve it instead of when i mail it out like they did. their clock starts when they mail it out why should my clock not start when i mail it out. this is a rip off.

they do not want to replace the defective unit which is in warranty so they charge me for a defective one which i mailed under the advise and assurance that i would not be charged by their technical support. the last tel conversation with a real nasty woman was that their tech team does not know what they do and allegedly gave me wrong info.

Dear Valued Linksys Customer, Linksys has not received your defective unit. As per the terms and conditions of a Cross Shipment RMA your return was due within 5 from the receipt of your defective unit. As a courtesy an attempt was made to extend the time for the return by extending the hold on your credit card funds. This authorization failed due to lack of funds or a problem with your credit card. As a result you where charged for the replacement unit. In the event that you did return the unit and have proof of shipping, such as a UPS or FedEx tracking number, please contact the Customer Service Department at (949) 271-5461 or email rma@linksys.com. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE Thank you,Linksys
i have sent proof that i sent it back using fedex #150043750460 dated 05/02/06 and they are now refusing to take my calls.
