CIT Erroneously Applied Lien against my family's business, and refused to take it off New York City New York

 My dad passed away 10 days ago.  Since he passed away my family is dissolving his business, and selling off his assets.  As I am selling his truck, i notice according to the NY State DMV that CIT has a lien against it.  He financed it with them 15 years ago, and paid it off 10 years ago, yet they still kept the lien.  When i called in to confront them about it, they refused to take it off, and hung up the phone on me.  The lady had the worst attitude, and didnt help me at all.  She was so upset that I was given her number since she worked in titling and collections, but felt that it wasnt her responsibility.  No one else helped at all, and everyone else played dumb.  CIT is a group of crooks plain and simple.
