I was searching for equipment financing on the internet as I was having trouble finding financing at my bank.  I came across Citadel Equipment Finance and printed a credit application from their website and faxed it to them.  The Senior Account Executive called me and told me they would finance my equipment.  I sent them all my personal information, taxes, pay stubs, financial statement, bank information.  Days would pass without hearing from them.  I would call, but could only get their voice mail.  Then they would call me requesting more information.  I would send it to them, and again I would not hear from them.  They then called and said we needed to discuss the money down.  I let them ACH my bank account for $2,200.00.  Then I did not hear from them for days, and when I would call, all I would get was voicemail.  Days would go by, I got frustrated, so I would call and leave a threatening voice mail.  They would call me and ask for more information.  I would send them the information, and again I would not hear from them.  I then contacted my bank, filled out a dispute form and my bank got my money back.  I think I was lucky.  These people are the strangest people I've ever dealt with.  They told me to stop calling them and leaving harrassing messages on their voicemail.  I asked them if they were going to contact the police, and I could tell by the inflection in their voices that this made them nervous.  I am not the only person that they have done this to.  I don't know why they do this, it's a total mystery to me.  Like I said, I got my money back, you may not be so lucky.

Word from a dillusional THIEF!

AUTHOR: Tim - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, September 19, 2011

Citadel Equipment Finance is an F rated Better Business Bureau entity.  Give it up Phoebe, move on and go steal another person's money.  The only case being made here by you and me and all the others on Rip-Off Report. com, is that Citadel Equipment Finance is a very deceitful organization.  Hopefully some day, some one will end your thievery!

Final response

AUTHOR: Phoebe Nguyen - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, September 19, 2011

Timothy,

The difference between my response and yours is that it outlines 100% facts, whereas yours is 90% embellishment. Again, we were still able to issue an approval despite having to work around your undisclosed bankruptcy from 8/5/2005. YOU decided not to move forward and yelled at our staff when we attempted to resolve the transaction. Do you really expect the sales rep to call you back after you've made numerous threats? The fact that you breached your signed contract, lied to your bank that the ACH was unauthorized (which we have signed authorization documents), and chose to deal with this matter by threatening our staff speaks for itself.

Citadel Equipment Finance is a scam!

AUTHOR: Tim - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, September 17, 2011

It's interesting how a Citadel Equipment Finance representative is monitoring rip off report.com.  Could it be that they have a F rating with the Better Business Bureau?   Could it be that they rip people off?  This is their scam.  They advertise financing for equipment.  You apply for a loan.  They tell you that you're approved.  Then they have you send them the first and last payment and a non-refundable application fee.  They never approve your loan, in my specific case I had been dealing with them for over 45 days without the loan being funded.  They don't answer their phone, except when you call them and threaten them, then they send you more paper work to fill out.  And when you finally realize you've been scammed, and you call and threaten them, they send you a refund form.  They send you back your first and last payment, if you're lucky, and they keep your application fee.  These people are criminal.  They take advantage of innocent people.  As you can see, they posted my credit information for everyone to see.  Do you want them to do this to you?

I'm sorry that you are unhappy with your experience.  However, it must be known that we were still able to issue an approval despite the following credit hurdles:

- BANKRUPTCY CHAPTER7 4/05 (Undisclosed)
- DEROGATORY/DELINQUENT TRADELINES: CARMAX, SANTANDER, DAIMLERTRK, HSBC AUTO, BANK OF AMERICA, CHASE, HOMEQ SERVICING
- COLLECTION ACCOUNTS: AMERICOLLECT, STATE COLLECTION SERVICES

You decided not to move forward. Again, sorry it did not work out. Take care.
