Since December, my fiance and I have been trying to consolidate of debts. This past year has been a real struggle for the both of us and we both were looking some sort of financial relief. We applied online for a loan of $6000 and was approved! After hearing that we were approved, it felt like a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders. We had to send a down payment of $1093 to a lady named Catherine Cooper (our "lender") via moneygram to Canada. The middleman was "Joshua Bradley." He told us that this payment is basically our first couple of months bill--- that we would not have to pay until September. "Great" we thought, so we went ahead and sent the money through. It was hard for us to gather that amount of money, but we managed it. Joshua told us that in the next following days, they would wire the money into my fiance's account, but they didn't. We called them back and asked why and their reason was that the lender wanted more money! They said that the lender did another background check and needed another down payment of $1157 to secure it. Joshua Bradley guaranteed that they wouldn't charge anymore and promised that we would get our money. We needed that loan so much that my fiance sold one of his cars to make that down payment. In the end, we didn't get it. According to Mr. Bradley, the lender pulled out and in turn they said it would take a couple of weeks for them to send us our refund check. They tried to offer us another loan (a minimum of $10000!), but by then it was already the last straw. The day they said that the "refund check" would get to us was Feb 15. and it is now Feb 21. And where is our check?! We tried calling and calling, but all we get are dead lines and hangups. In total that we lost: $2250. Because of the money we lost, our bank account is in the negatives and our creditors are calling us every hour of the day! It's funny how one moment you're thinking you're about to saved, but the next you've been thrown to the wolves.

It is the lowest of low---like scum of the earth low--- what these people are doing. Misleading, giving false hope, and then stealing money from those who are seriously struggling day to day with financial issues! It really makes me sick. Since all this had happened, I have had many thoughts of "If only I researched a bit more... if only I had found this site first..." They have caused us and is still causing us grief and frustration. I pray that they get what they deserve and justice will be served once and for all. For those who are in need of financial help and is right now about to do what we did with another company, be wary and be cautious. Ask questions and do in-depth research. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is to good to be true.

Anyone claiming to have money for you, but requires a "small" advanced payment from you first is trying to rip you off. None of the major financial services companies in the industry will charge anything up front, except for appraisal fees,. BTW: There is no such legitimate consumer lending company as Citi Lending Group. You should report this incident to the appropriate authorities.

Citigroup is short for Citi Global Consumer Group and no one who calls a loan customer and claims to work directly for Citigroup is telling the truth.

In the United States the only businesses handling loans directly for customers are: Citibank, Citimortgage, CitiFinancial (financial services, Mortgage, Retail Services, and Auto), Primerica Financial Services and Citibank Direct. These are the only Citi businesses originating loans for customers.
