Citibank Citibank - the worst ripoff bank Chicago Nationwide

I have been Citibank's customer for over 20 years 1972-2002.

Advice to everyone - if you can run away ASAP.

The only bank that issued certified check that bounced.
The only bank that lowered Citibank's MC limit like this: in the morning I have checked available balance - it was over 1k. I went to shop for materials and my $600 charge was declined. I call citibank and it shows up that that they lowered the limit in real time from 5k to 4k. How is that for a service? The account was in good standing. Immediately I have canceled Citibank MC and Citibank Ready Credit. MC got canceled but Ready Credit stayed open against my will!!!

Ater a year I have received a bill for yearly fee for Ready Credit ! I asked this time for the confirmation of the cancellation in writing - they have refused - I went to the branch office and I extracted that from them by force. Another one - they gave me once a thousand dollars to much during check cashing. Without any proof and without consulting me they withdrew the money from the account of their choosing.

When my mother died, I have asked for a 1k increase on my credit card which they advertized on TV. No way - You had one payment late a year ago, so beat it - that was their response. My wife is a real estate broker for over 30 years - she says that Citibank is absolutely the worst bank in the area to get financing. This is a short list only. There is much more!
