The last payment for my truck loan posted to my account on January 7, 2008 which left my truck paid off with a perfect on time payment record for the life of my account. Since that time Citifinancial auto has had me in collections, had collectors calling me and has refused to let me talk to anyone in the payment research area.

I have faxed a copy of the final check to them three times and they say it is illegible and refuse to let me read off the information so they can research it. The tone of voice is snippy and condescending and their directions always indicate I have done something wrong. "I didn't send it by the right fax machine, I need to go to Kinkos." When I typed the account number on the cover letter, the same cover letter that has the recipent's name, I was told "that type is too small to read and that I need to write in in 1" high letters".

The real kicker to this is that I was making electronic payments, having no problems and Citifinancial Auto decided for me that the last payment had to be by check. It appears to me they do not know how to process checks or research posting problems. They certainly do not know how to have a discussion without insulting the customer. I have paid over almost $10,000 in interest to this company. When I reminded them of that I was told I need to "be quiet and listen to what they were telling me to do."

They have reported a negative to my credit bureau in error and they are refusing to give me a workable option for correction of it. I have been told every Saturday for the last three Saturdays that I need to fax in a copy of the payment. I do that and have done it each time from a different fax machine.
