I had "free financing" for 12 months- the January statement reported that I needed to pay exactly $682.86 before Feb 9th. I sent $682.86 Jan-10. I later checked the balance and was shocked to see that I owed $85 - so I sent an additional $85 that was received Feb 8th. A full day before the expiration.

My shock of Shocks arrived with the febuary invoice- which included $143.42 in deferred interest. I called the service number- which is a joke, there is no option to speak with a person you can only fax your dispute in. I did this and a month later received a letter explaining that my $682.86 did not include $83 that was allocated to a different purchase- and this letter explained how the fees could not be reversed. They totally IGNORED my payment of $85 in both the calculation of the feb statement AND my dispute. I know the payment was made because I used my bank's payment service. The payment also is posted accuratly on the statement- but they are simply ignoring it. It seems that they have some kind of system in place that takes money out of your payment and pays other promotional accounts. They took $83 out of my 'couch' payment and applied it to my 'bedroom' account- these are totally different purchases with totally different financing plans.

I caught this and sent an additional $85 ($2 extra) to cover it- and they took THAT money as well and applied it to the wrong plan. There is apparantly no way of paying off the March2007 purchase before it expires because any money I send them they apply towards the December 2007 plan. GRRRRRR!
