I just reeived a letter in the mail from Convergent Outsourcing which is trying to collect on a debt which I do not owe. This debt was illegally created, thus making me owing it obsolete.
I was a customer of Charter One bank in the mid 2000's and ended up overdrafting my account. I had paid up the account to a minimum of zero dollars, but I do believe I was a few dollars in the black. Well the next day I was hit with an extended overdraft fee of $29 which then ballooned somehow to $223.59.
Those overdraft fees were illegally added to my account. I should not be in collections and should never have been in ChexSystems. I am highly upset by this ridiculous bill and am now looking to take legal action if this account is not removed from my credit report permanently.
My account was in Ohio at the time.
