If you are disabled, and need help, run, don't walk from this boiler room operation. They are predatory, and dishonest. When I was desperate for help, I made the mistake of calling them after seeing their internet ad campaign. On my first call, I was promised the sky from the first call center person I spoke to. He promised me financial aid and all kinds of programs that would help me. None of these panned out. Each time I called them, I was very specific that mine was not a new case. I had already filed, been rejected as almost everyone is, then I filed an appeal, again being rejected. I then filed for a hearing before a judge, which is the third step, and the step where it is determined whether or not you are going to be paid. All I needed was an attorney to represent me at that hearing. I made this clear to each and every person I spoke to, but despite this, they decided it was in their best interests to file a new case, against my specific wishes. I spoke to them perhaps a dozen times on the phone, but got nowhere. I demanded to speak to a "supervisor'', after being denied the ability to speak to an attorney. Needless to say, the "supervisor" was just another boiler room worker, only more arrogant and obnoxious. I told him I wanted to speak to an attorney. He denied this request. I called again and demanded to speak to an attorney. They refused. So, this is a law firm where they do not allow you to even speak to an attorney. Their actions against my specific wishes delayed my case an additional year, costing me over $10,000 in extra debt. On my last conversation with the call center workers, I informed them that they were fired, and no longer representing me, which they never did in the first place. I informed Social Security formally that these people no longer represented me, as they never actually represented me to begin with. Quite the contrary, they ignored all of my requests and did what they wanted. I then did a Google search, and found a local attorney. He actually answered the phone himself, and the next morning he was at my house. What a difference between him and these scam artists!
I won my case, and now Citizens Disability is trying to bill me for thousands of dollars, even though no attorney would ever speak to me, and in no way did they ever represent my interests. Quite the contrary. I am now going to sue them for the extra costs that they made me incur by delaying my case, and I will be filing a complaint with the proper authorities, namely the board in Massachusetts, the Better Business Bureau, and anyone else I can think of. And so, if you are considering filing for disability, stay far, far away from this call center operation, and hire a local attorney. The most important part of your case is the hearing level before a judge, and a local attorney can best represent you there, as many times they have relationships with the judges, and your chances of winning are increased dramatically. You can file the first two steps on your own over the internet if you want, but I recommend a local attorney from the beginning. Don't even think about Citizen's Disability! Even the people at Social Security told me this after the fact. Stay away from these internet marketing firms. They are without souls, and have no interest in you. They are theives. Criminals in my opinion.
