I wanted to voice my opinion on this topic on the www.sodahead.com website, but they have declined to post it because I believe they are discriminating against me and possibly men. The Below is a similar response to the article and the article itself and they have refused to post it on their website, indicating descrimination and denying me the ability to voice my opinion as they have allowed so many other users to do so. I guess this is their idea of how the country should be, which could be catagorized as turning a blind eye to the truth and facts at hand.

Response to the below item, posted by Laura Scher. I want to ask her the following question, if you believe that women are entitled to the same pay as men, why has women been allowed to avoid registering for the selective services draft? Okay, so what Mrs. Scher is implying is that it's okay for me to die in war for this country and for the women of this country, but its not okay for women to die for this country and the men of this country as it is not a requirement of law for women to register for the selective services draft. Why is it I don't see any women's groups fighting to make it a requirement for women to have to register for the selective services draft by law, but they can sure fight for issues like the below? I would say that if women want to be considered for equal pay, they must meet us half way and be willing to accept equal country responsibility as well. Do you think it is fair for me to die for you, but you will not die for me and its okay for you to accept the same pay as me? If that is the case, what kind of country is this? Shame on each group that endorses this idea as they have not been made to give up their lives as other countless millions have. There is an ethical problem with this belief.

Sincerely,

Jax McCloud

Senator John McCain is blocking a vote on legislation to address widespread gender-based pay inequity because he thinks women only need more "education and training" instead of full equality under the law. We disagree, and so do our partners at CREDO Mobile. Please sign CREDO's petition to urge Senator McCain to quit making sexist statements and stop blocking a vote on fair pay for women.

Senator McCain Said What?
He said the pay gap between men and women isn't due to discrimination. Women just need more "education and training." Tell Senator McCain to quit making sexist statements and stop blocking a vote on fair pay for women.

Read the petition >>
Last week, CREDO Action and several women's groups organized people to call on their senators to enact the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. It was close, but we fell three senators short of the 60 necessary to force a vote.

As disappointed as I was by the result, I was even more upset when I came across a news report regarding the reaction of Senator John McCain.

Senator McCain said the gap between the pay of women and men in this country isn't due to discrimination; he said that women just need more "education and training" to earn as much as men.

Tell Senator McCain that what women need is equal justice under the law.

Lilly Ledbetter worked 19 years at Goodyear before she learned the men at her level were earning far more for the same work. She sued, and stood up for inequality by taking her case all the way to the Supreme Court -- where five male justices ruled her claim invalid because she filed it more than 180 days after the discrimination started. Now, Senator McCain is blocking a vote on legislation to correct this injustice -- and in the process, he seems willing to roll back 50 years of women's rights.

Sign our petition asking Senator McCain to take back his sexist statements and stop blocking this crucial vote.

Another vote will be called soon, possibly within days. If we can stop senators like John McCain from blocking a vote on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the bill, which has already passed the House, will surely pass the Senate as well.

I'm asking all my friends to stand up for the rights of women in the workplace. I hope you will, too.

Sincerely,

Laura Scher, CEO
