i paid a deposite of 30.00 to Clarkes Entertainment/Wiseguys discos for a party package for my daughter's 8th birthday. The package was:

accidents do not happen. We have our CRB checks.

the party leaving you to sit back, relax and enjoy the

Party Package 1
Children's party package 1 includes a full
disco set up it consists of smoke, bubble machine,
a fantastic lights display and all the party
music you desire. We play a selection of
fun games and best of all we supply the prizes!
Our qualified childrens entertainer will have
the children dancing from the minute we arrive 2girlsfacepainted
untill it's time to go home, this package is a
guaranteed winner time and time again.
"Children's Package 2 consisting of a mobile disco playing all the party music you require. There is a special present for the birthday child along with goody bags for the other children. All the prizes for party games also come included in this package so there is plenty to keep the children amused for hours!" COPIED FROM WEBSITE, costing 185.00. - (15.00 was taken off the cost for daughters birthday present bringing price down to 170.00)
I telephoned in the week to make sure LEVI was still coming, he told me he was (should have known he was a con man coming all the way from Wolverhampton when i live in west wales).
The day of my daughter's party i had a phone call from a local DJ saying LEVI had asked him to do my daughters disco as his van had broken down - even though he is RAC covered:
We also have the following
* Public liability insurance for 5 million pounds.
* Safety Tested equpiment
* RAC break down cover just in case
* Smartly presented experienced DJ
* our dj also has full crb checks.
The local DJ told me he was to charge me 140.00 even though he only supplied the disco - no party games and prizes, no bubble or smoke machine, no fantastic lights display. (He would have charged me 110.00 if i had gone direct to him).
I telephoned LEVI REYNOLDS to say i would like my 30.00 deposit refunded as apart from supplying the disco nothing else happened. He promised me he would refund through paypal. Next thing i get an e-mail saying:
"I'm sorry the manager has decided that your not entitled to a refund of your deposit, as you signed a contract and we provided your disco services and you agreed to the terms and conditions of the contract."

Yes i did sign a contract, and no. 12 says they reserve the right to substitute alternative entertainment should uncontrollable circumstances dictate the need to do so - HOWEVER - with RAC cover a van breaking down should not be uncontrollable circumstances.
i had to go out on the Sunday morning of my daughters birthday and purchase party prizes - extra cost on top of the 170.00
I HAVE BE CONNED! and it seems i am not the only one, if only i had found this site before i booked him.

Hi, my name is Lee Reynolds before anyone gets confuzed, I have taken over the running of 4 websites since march 08 which includes clarkes roadshow from Levi Clarke, I admit having some teething problems with the logistics of this project in the begining but all is running more smoothly now.
The job in question was one I was planning on attending with all good intentions in mind of producing a light show, games and prizes included which I gave a very competetive price for, as Elaine has explained the dj which covered the event for a cheaper price in the end , which she failed to mention does not cover the same as what I cover or my current dj's cover.
If she asked me why I couldn't attend my van had a shot wheel bearing as every one should know the rac don't fix these problems at the roadside.
I had no one else in my books to cover the job, so I asked a local dj to Fishguard, Wales if he could cover the event at a cheaper cost to the customer, which he did.
As with everything in life we try our best but we cannot please everyone, last tax year Mar 08 till Mar 09 my company and my 26 other dj's have covered 215 jobs, and had 3 complaints.
This year as yet we have had no complaints.
