We bought land on line using ebay's top rated sellers which the realtors were classic country land. The site says, 99.00 down, but we were told 1000.00 down.  We arrived in March and could not get our motor home up to lot 51. So, they told us to pick a lot below, Knowing we had a motor home. Then they sold us another lot 28 in July, knowing we had a motor home. We got a call at the end of July from Scott. He told us to get rid of the chicken coup and the motor home and we now only have eight months to build. We were there for five months.

So, they offered us another piece of property further north of Clayton, but I would be an idiot to get ripped off again. We released the property on July 30th of 2012. We could have stayed and fought but we are not like that.

We stand on two grounds:

1. Classic Country Land knew we had a motor home

2. They offered us land in Paden, Ok but told me on the phone we defaulted. Which we did not default.

We were threatened over the phone two times by Scott and Lori. Lori telling me, Don't mess with Scott. He is a powerful man. Then Scott called saying, get an attorney. You won't beat any of mine.

regarding the reply from classic country land

I just now after all this time, read the response from the individuals that ripped us off. The lies that were told from them calling or other wise is false and not true. What I didn't know is others that bought property at the same place also was ripped off. One hired a lawyer and he helped get people's money back. I was not aware of this. After leaving the land the first of August; we left for north carolina. I returned back to oklahoma in august of 2013. I found out about this attorney six months later but never heard anything.

Customer well aware of property.

AUTHOR: Lori Murphy - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 10, 2013

My name is Lori Murphy and I am proud to say I have worked for Classic County Land, LLC for 10 years now. We are an upstanding company that is here to please our customers, not turn them away.

This particular customer I called myself to get their information for the land purchase. When she told me of their plans to live on the property in a Motor home, I explained to her that the elevation was steep and she would not be able to get a motor home up the hill. I offered to move them to another property that would work better for them, in which she responded with "The Lord has called us to this property and it will be fine, I have prayed about it."

A few months later she called again and said they were headed to the property. I called her back and gave her my cell phone number beings it was a weekend, as I knew they were not going to make it up the hill with a motor home. I didn't want them hanging in limbo waiting for us to open Monday morning, as I already knew this was going to be an issue.

Without a doubt I got that call when they arrived at the property letting me know they could not get there Motor home up the hill.  I told her I was expecting their call as I knew there was going to be an issue. She responded with I know you tired to tell us, but we didn’t understand until we got here that we couldn’t make it up the hill.

They decided to buy a property from us that was located closer to the county road, but this particular property has different covenants than the other one they originally started with.  I explained the covenants and she said that was fine that her husband was a contractor and they were going to build right away.

Needless to say they never built anything except a chicken coop. They tore a perfectly good dock down that went to the pond on the property, and used the wood from the dock to build the chicken coop.

A month later we began to receive phone calls in the middle of the night from them, knowing we were not in the office, they left voicemails.  Needless to say they were disturbing phone calls that made no since, and when I called them back the next day they didn't remember making those calls, or she would apologize for the calls and said her husband was intoxicated when he made the calls, and she was very sorry.

We finally came to the conclusion they were not going to build as set forth in the covenants that they agreed to. We offered to move them to another property where they could live in the Motor Home,  that is when she told me her husband was leaving her and that they were giving the land back.

They were never threatened; if anyone was threatened it was us by their middle of the night phone calls and messages they left us, which were quite disturbing. The bottom line is they just chose not to follow the covenants and didn’t like the rules that came with the property, in which they were well aware of when they purchased the lot.
