I kept receiving cold calls from this company tauting the sell my car for more money than it was worth because they would supply the financing. Finally, I purchased the ad. Bad move, I did not receive one single call. Subsequently in June, I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau about their fraudulent claims. I spoke to a Greg Simmons there who claimed that it was all my fault. Further, that the car was way overpriced and that they were not miracle workers.

Beware! Do not pay this company to sell your car. In recent checks I found that my car was "accidentally" marked as sold. No doubt listed sold to skew their statistics for future people that they intend to scam.

Phone Solicitation Spam From 702-736-3416

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 09, 2009

I have a private automobile for sale on cars.com and got a call from this bunch yesterday telling me they could sell it for way more than i am asking. It's an automated cold calling system that spews the spam message, then tells you to press 1 to be connected to a customer service person.

I'm wondering if they are trolling cars.com listings for phone numbers? Or is cars.com selling that info to them?

#8 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I'm the ex employee that made the above statements

AUTHOR: Knowstherealdeal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 24, 2009

I was not fired. I quit because I could not stand what was going on there any longer. Management of Classy Auto can state what ever they like as a rebuttal. However, they have no proof of the statements they are making about the felons/ex-felons working there. They hire people from the work release center in Omaha, NE because those inmates need a job to not go back to prison and they will do what ever classy auto wants them to do. Think about, they didn't have morals to begin with, so why not do the unethical things classy auto wants them to do. Sure cars that have been listed with them have sold, but a very small percentage, and an even smaller percentage because of their marketing.

As you can see in the above response, they did not dispute that they do not send out mailers/emails/faxes, etc. of they ads. They did not dispute about one of the current owners being an ex-felon. They promoted that person to management because the previous manager left and they had no one else to do it. One of the owners wanted out and they let him buy in. The previous customer service manager that was there for a while, she was also a convicted felon.

I have a couple of friends that still work there right now. They tell me on a daily basis what they tell customers and that "Denny" tells them to do what ever they need to do to make the sale. They don't care, they make good money and could care less about a stranger over the phone they will never meet.

Do a little research people and you will find out a lot about this company.

ClassyAuto Disgruntled employees that get fired..

AUTHOR: Classyauto Managment - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 23, 2009

Given that the employee that posted the above statements was fired for misrepresenting our firm, it is no surprise that they have done so again. As most people know, all the best falsehoods are those that have shreds of truth in them.

ClassyAuto.com has been in business for almost 10 years. We offer a value added service to get significant advertising exposure for private individuals attempting to sell a vehicle. We are a BBB accredited service, the number one lister of vehicle auctions on eBay Motors, Titanium Power Sellers, Certified Trading Assistants with 100% positive feedback and Top Seller Award recipients for the last 3 years. Not only is it impossible to achieve this type of success if you are not running an effective and ethical business, these are facts that can be verified on your own so feel free to do so.

The owners and management of our firm recognize the importance of community involvement and service and we maintain active membership in numerous business and civic organizations. Approximately 6 years ago, we became partners with the State of Nebraska and Douglas County Correctional facilities to be one of a select few Nebraska Corporations to participate in a work release program to assist people who have done time for non-violent crimes to reintroduce themselves into society as productive individuals. Many of our best employees, including some that have progressed to management, have come through that program. Some have successfully gotten other jobs and moved on. All in all, between 80% and 90% of the employees that we have helped through this program have successfully rebuilt their lives having purchased homes, started families, and even started businesses. This program has been an overwhelming success and we are proud of what has been accomplished.

We train all employees on how to contact potential customers and represent our service in an accurate way and in accordance with all FTC regulations governing our industry. Those who do not do so are given the opportunity to correct their behavior. If they continue to misrepresent our firm, as with the aforementioned disgruntled party, they are terminated. This policy not only applies to our sales team but to our customer service team as well. Any successful business owner will tell you that good help is hard to find, whether it be in sales or customer service. As responsible employers we provide a safe and positive work environment and give our employees every resource to learn and perform their responsibilities.

As an internet based company, it is our responsibility to provide the best service to our customers. To that end we invest a great deal of effort in maintaining our sites and page rankings to ensure that our customers get the most traffic to their vehicles.

As to the rest of the statements made by this individual, they simply do not warrant a response. I'll let the information above speak to the type of company we are. Any intelligent person will recognize the rest as the ravings of an angry individual who lost their job in these most difficult of economic times. Had there not been significant cause, we would not have terminated them.

Total BS from Ex-Employee "knowstherealdeal"

AUTHOR: Callsitlikeiseeit - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 16, 2009

Whoever this person is, is clearly pissed that they don't work there any more. 98% of their claims are totally false. I worked for Classy Auto for quite some time before I moved on to bigger and better things. They do not just allow their employees to re-use credit cards! While I was employed there someone got FIRED on the SPOT for doing that and it was caught even before the credit was processed. As far as management and owners being felons and having shady pasts (if this is even 100% truth, which I doubt!!), what they fail to mention is that these people have obviously completely turned their lives around and that happened when they were young and stupid, otherwise how on earth could they end up owning a company and being a manager...just doesn't make sense when you think about it. Besides, even if it is true, who hasn't done something stupid when they were young??!! And who are these people, former employee, to state all this information on everyone else?? They probably got caught trying to completely scam someone and got fired for it, so now they are all pissed and trying to besmirch this company for personal reasons. Which I must say is completley bogus. Oh yes, and what else, that the cars never sell and that the marketing is made up. Yeah, that's a lie too. I had clients I personally worked with that sold their cars through Classy Auto's service. Now if they aren't marketing, and if the don't truly have clubs the work with, how could the cars just magically sell themselves...come on that just doesn't make sense!?!
Ultimately I would like to note that everyone who reads this report should not take this former employee's (knowstherealdeal) word for it. Call the company, do your own checking, whatever you feel you should, but this employee is totally out of line. Thank you.

Do Not List with National Vehicle Marketing (classyauto.com)

AUTHOR: Knowstherealdeal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 29, 2008

I worked for National Vehicle Marketing for quite some time. I know the real deal on them. They search for vehicles for sale and contact them "pretending that they are interested in buying the car or have a buyer".

They have no buyers at all. Never had and never will. They are a telemarketing company that owns their own websites and list vehicles on there for fees that the sales people can sell it for what ever they want to up their commission and cash bonus'. They will charge one person $149.00 and the next $349.00. Depending on the value of the sellers vehicle, they figure if you have a nice car you can afford more money for the listing and they can convince you that you need they service.

They have a webmaster that works all day long to up their rankings on search engines. Has nothing to do with the amount of "buyers" that are looking for cars.

They charge for a featured car listing that takes a click of a button to do. They give that service away to customers that are unhappy with the service but charge others any where from $60 - $300. Total Scam!!

They don't do anything on ebay motors that you can't do yourself and cheaper.

They state in their sales pitch that they send out emails, mailers, flyers, etc., of your listing and photos of your vehicle to 1,000's of car clubs, rv camp grounds, etc., they do nothing of the sorts. Never had. The car clubs they have on their site are clubs that they have added, because the other site added them. Kind of like a myspace type deal.

Employees will screen their calls and voice mails and will not call back customers just in case they are asking about why their vehicle has not been sold or want to complain. Employees will promise a money back guarantee, but if you don't have it in writing, they will throw the refund disclaimer from their website at the credit card company and win the charge back.

Once you give them your money, you are stuck. They do nothing for you. The sales person writes down some things about your ad and the paper gets turned into the manager to run the credit card. Then it goes onto a pile in the "customer service department". Ran by his girlfriend (convicted felon - checks/drugs/ex-stripper). It will then be carelessly entered in to their data base, that automatically feeds it to the websites. They will add pictures if you send them to them. Then the paper work and photos are put in a filing cabinet to sit. If you signed up for ebay, they will put up and auction and read email from people, but that is pretty much it.

98% of the recently sold vehicles are listings that have been up there for a long time. They delete the listings and add them to the sold page. People forget about the listing because they never got any phone calls on it. The statements on the sold page, are comments made up by customer service or they will take certain words out of emails from the customer to make it look good.

Notice they don't have the listing date on any of the ads and you can't search by oldest listing.

One of the owner's is a convicted felon (for writing bad checks to pay for his drug habit, he was never caught for taking money from the other companies he managed). They usually have about 5-10 convicted felons employed there at any given time. They have access to people's credit card and checking information. It is against the law for a convicted felon to process credit cards over the phone, from what I have been told.

Employees use drugs and alcohol at the place of business. I know of at least one employee (wasn't a convicted felon) that after signing up a customer, he would use their credit card again for a bogus listing or up grade on their listing to up his commissions and sales. The owner was aware of this and "told him not to do it again". He did, and still he was not fired. Another employee sexually harassed a female customer over the phone, he was fired, but then hired again. After he worked there again, he attacked a fellow employee in his house under the pretense of her buying some furniture he had for sale. He was a convicted rapist from another state.

I could go on and on about the shady dealings they do, but I will stop with what I have already given you.

Their nick name is ClassyConvicts. That should say enough.

Tell the whole story....

AUTHOR: Classyauto Managment - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 06, 2008

This individual was advertising her 2005 Cadillac Esclade on cars.com for $52,000 before we contacted her about our service in May of 2007. According to Kelly Blue Book and NADA at that time, the value of the vehicle was $35,000-$37,000. While we are often able to help people get more for their vehicle then they might get on their own, no amount of exposure will sell a vehicle for $15,000 more than it's worth. She refused to lower her price. This individual continued to market her Escalade at the $52,000 price until last week when she finally lowered it to $35,000. We performed our service precisely as it was outlined to her. The BBB sided with our firm and resolved the issue in our favor in July 2007.
