Clay Cooley Auto Approval Not Guaranteed ripoff Fort Worth Texas

Back in the summer of 06 I was in the market of a new car first time buyer, my credit not so great I seen the clay cooley ads on tv and figured maybe they could help. After 4 hours of getting showed cars that I could get into (instead of a car I wanted)I ended up with a 99 Grand Am. Nice car milage was low.

Once I made my mind up it was time to make a deal. The finance guy Jeff kept trying to deter me from the Grand AM and was trying to put me in a buick regal the interior of this car was horrible it had cigerette burns in the seat and the list goes on.

To make a long story short I was told 800 down for the Grand Am payments were 230 a month I thought this was great. But as someone previously stated I was told to lie to the finance company about how much I put down and also I wasn't given a copy of my contract I was told the deal had to be "finalized" first.

After driving the car for almost a month I recieved a call from Clay cooley saying I needed a co signer for the car (even though I stated I didn't have one) so they proposed if no co signer I would need to come back and do "In house financing" (higher interest rate). When I refused that I simply return the Grand AM and asked for my down payment and trade in back. I was told ok that is fine.

When I go to the dealership a whole different story after a weekend of this they finally return my car and my down payment but no orginal title to my trade in car. It is now almost a whole year later of trying to track down my title. Clay cooley only provided me with the run around and sending me to their office in dallas and then the one in weatherford all they could offer me was a copy when I handed them the orginal.

I will let you be the judge of if this practice of car sales is fair or unfair.
