Clear Credit/ Net Detective ripoff fraudulent sharing of personal information and fradulent billing Aliso Viejo California

I purchased a product called Net Detective. They passed my credit card #, name, address, etc. to Clear Credit. Clear Credit then proceeded to bill me $99.90 for their services. They promise to clear your credit (a service which I DO NOT need). In reality what they do is correct errors on your credit report and charge you a fee for each correction you ask for. All of the credit unions do this FREE if you contact them.

Additionally, when I found the charge on my credit card, it took hours for find a number to call. If you want a refund, you must make it in writing five days from the date of purchase. Good Luck! You don't know you have "purchased" this service until your statement arrives, and of course, five days have elapsed.

This company is looking for suckers!

Additionally, I believe that Net Detective is in clear violation of the privacy laws.

But the big thing is that Net Detective used my billing info to allow Clear Credit to bill me. If not absolutely illegal, it is bordering on being illegal. It is wrong, wrong, wrong at the very least.

After several arguments with the customer service reps I got a response that they would refund my money. Get this, they charged my credit card, but they will issue me a check for the refund in 6 to 8 weeks. How lovely.

Do not do business with this outfit. They are connected to Harris Publishing which is also reported on this site.

Bad News Bears!

Stay clear of Clear Credit! Stay clear of Harris Publishing also known as Net Detective and several other products that Harris Publishing sells. Their products are all junk. Do not waste your money on any of this stuff. Most of it is available without charge online if you search a little bit.
