Clear Internet Services contracts local unsuspecting employees via various employment agencies.  These temporary employees at first unknowlingly, and then knowlingly participate in selling these fraudulent services and products to the public.  Several state level class action law suits have been filed against this company.  The service itself is adequate, but in no way is it "unlimited" as advertised or contracted.  In most cases customers experience at best, intermittent service in their location.  The retail locations do not handle any of the customer service needs.  All customer service issues are handle by off shore corporations and representatives.  All returns are handled through a national return center.  The national return center does not have a phone number for customer contact.  Many customers experience loss of use and faulty equipment issues that go unresolved.  the retail locations are mere sale portals and unable to process any returns or refunds.  Cash transactions are not adviseable.  Bank card transactions are not adviseable at this time.  In several cases the retail location representatives have been made aware of the fraudulent activities of CLEAR.COM and still continue to accept cash payments on behalf of the company.  Several different state law enforcement agencies are investigating Clear's practices as a felony scheme to defraud.

Not only is the above 100% true Clear are also trying to drop customers in areas they no longer want to provide service to.

My current contract is up in June and when I asked after getting an email form them saying they will no longer be supplying new signups in Clarkston WA the rep tried to first get me to cancel at a penalty and when that didn't work he stated there are other providers still available there!

It seems to me that their deceptive practices are still in force even in areas they want to drop service from.  Not once during the 35 minute call was I offered a free termination of the contract.  Indeed their service is adequate for me as I'm a very light user.  But the person was only interested in reading his script and trying to get me to cancel early so they could try to charge me $200!!

If I hadn't asked about halfway through the call if there would be a penalty for early termination he would have tricked me into moving providers straight away.  I will be cancelling my service come June and moving to an honest ISP.
