I personally lived next door to Mark Johnson for 25 years. It was he*** He killed our animals, poisoned them, shot them with a bb gun. He urinated in our garages and flooded them with water. Cut our cable lines and painted swastikas on our garage. The day he was arrested the whole neighborhood rejoiced. The day my father sold the house was the happiest day of my life since I have small children. He is a bully, and not one should buy into his stories.

 I'm not too sure we are writing about the same Dave Flum???? Clovis Marine is the ONLY place I will take my boat AND trailer for service and repairs. Dave and his service personal are Top Notch, in every way. I recently needed hard to find parts for my boat trailer. After spending two weeks on my own looking for those parts? I called Dave at Clovis Marine, and he gave me two phone numbers to try. Got my parts FOUND and at VERY reasonable prices, with the very first number. I have my motor serviced every winter at Clovice Marine, and have never had any problems what so ever. If you want Quality Sales & Service? Clovis Marines IS your best bet!~

 I have four boats. Two Ski/Runabouts and a 15' foot Catalina Coronado along with a 27' American Sloop.

I have been getting parts and service from Dave and Clovis Marine for years now. I have had ZERO problems or complaints. When repairs were necessary I found the price on par with other shops and better in and out times always.

Dave's prices on the parts I have bought over the years are better than Overtons and West's.

Additionally, I have always been shown the worn/replaced parts and have not experienced any issues with the quality of the work.  Ever.

The business is family owned and has a personal feel to the place. Dave is a high powered guy, so if you are a girly man you might not like or may be intimidated by him.

But that doesn't change the fact that the shop is first rate. I have never heard anyone talk bad about their experience with this business and think these reports are rubbish.

If you need further convincing just check the place out. It is always super clean and organized and has a Mercedes Benz like feel to the shop.

So don't believe everything you read.

We are being victimized by a convicted felon.  One person, Mark Johnson, has posted every rip off report.  We won the small claims case Mark E. Johnson vs Clovis Marine.  The repair work we performed on his boat was perfect and the judge agreed.  We counter-sued for slander and won that case as well.  It is obvious from the last few postings that Mark is furious with the outcome.  It also appears he has become irrational and extremely belligerent in his accusations of Clovis Marine and the owners. Feel free to review the courts decision and also to review the felony convictions on Marks record.  I know many of our loyal customers have mentioned that there is a crazy person posting about us.

This Ripoff Report must be about a different Clovis Marine. I simply can not believe what I was reading. It has been so many years since I brought my first boat to Dave Flum's Clovis Marine. Dave was good enough to point out things that ONLY a trained boat mechanic could see about my own safety. He gave me an estimate of repair costs and suggested I get another estimate. I took that same boat to another boat shop where they priced ONLY the obvious repair and said nothing about how unsafe the boat was. Their estimate was a little less than Dave's but it also only covered about half the needed work to make the vessel safe. Whe I asked about replacing the bellows, their estimate almost doubled that of Clovis Marine's. Well, five or six boats later I'm still boating safely and still taking my boats to Dave and Brenda Flum's Clovis Marine in Fresno. Good shop, good people, and great work!
