CNS Heating and Cooling lied about repairs, lied about payment, incorrectly installed part, broke pipe. did not know how to repair boiler, intimidated my wife, said he only takes cash or check Scarsdale New York

The technican took partial cash payment from money in excahnge for services, which he quoted for $300 less han when he told me the bill.

The technicaian was not farmilar with my LAARS boiler, but he insisted he could investigate. Upon deciding he found the issue, he told me it was $300 to installed a new part. I agreed. He came back the next day with a different part and a new story, saying he did research and found the issue might be something else, other than his former diagnosis.

 

After telling him I was aware of the feeder being "old" and needing replacing (in fact I have a plumbes receipt saying so from a week previous). I said it was fine for him to install the part since he was slightly intimadating and when I explained I was aware he said this would solve the issue. It did not. I had paid him at the end of the install, and when asking him how much, he told me $600. I said why so much, yesterday he told me it was $300. When he installed the part, my boiler went on, as it had been doing. Problem wasnt the boiler going ON, it was that it SHUTS OFF. The boiler shuts off, and after calling LAARS, I knew something inside was the issue, as did my plumber who came before CNS Heating and Cooling of Scarsdale. When the water feeder was "fixed," a part that feeds water to the boiler, it now began leaking water all over my garage. When I asked Charlie Robison of Scarsdale to come back he said "that is what its supposed to do." I asked my plumber who came the previuous week, and admittedly could not fix this LARRS high efficency boiler.

Charlie of CNS Heating and Cooling, said he would come back the next day. The next day I took off work again, and he never called. So at 12-noon I called him. He said he was on a few jobs and will come later. Finally when he showed up, he temporarily addressed the leak. When I was in the garage with him he keep saying "I dont know how to set the templature on this?" "I dont know how to change the settings?" "I dont know" was not going to fix my boiler. I thought he told me he was an expert. He was NOT. I suggested he call LARRS, which is what i did a few days ago to find help.

The LAARS boiler is a high efficeny boiler - not just any technican can work on these. Plumbers avoid them. Charli Robison owner of CNS heating and cooling told me he could fix my boiler, and that afternoon after several "I dont knows," it was obvious I chose the wrong guy. Little did I know he now was going to become a huge nightmare because he is considered a fraud, and a renegade contractor in Westchester NewYork.

 

When calling to ask for a partial refund and my receipt, which I did not get for two weeks, the office manager told me that she was on vacation and would get to it. She did not respond for 3 days, at which time I called her back. Her name is Jamie Robison of Scarsdale and also a fraud. After yelling at me about "Shoiuld I come get my part back," and "What do you want me to do for you?" - she finally emailed some receipts (a week after I asked for them, and got yelled at for my request for a partial refund.

 

Gets worse. When I got the receipts, they said I owed CNS Heating and Cooling an addtional $383. I was so upset! I had to have another technical which LARRS sent out after hearing my story, from Staten Island to come fix my boiler, and since they dont fix the water feeder, cause as I said it wasnt part of the issue, I had to have my original plumber come back and fix that install which was done wrong (backwards part leaking all over the floor). 

Charlie Robison of Scarsdale NY took $200 cash from me, which i have a bank receipt for, as well as a check for $400, which was cashed the day after his repair (so somebody was in the office, jamie!). They are now giving me hell, not admitting to the cash payment, and trying to collect an addtional $383 for a job they did not complete, was installed incorrectly and are fraduelnt in claiming is owed to them.

This company should niot have any licence to operate in and New York state. Others have said they cause explosive gas set up with heating units, and others have faced the same "you owe us" scam as I have. CNS Heating and Cooling reviews show they are frauds, but I know first hand!

Ms. Miller called us upon just moving into her house, she had no heat or hot water and informed us she had called several contractors, including her own plumber, who were all unable to repair her boiler.  Upon investigation I  found an antiquated badly maintained boiler with many error codes and no manual.  I spent hours on the phone with LAARS tech support, which is all documented by LAARS, and explained to her clearly what she would need as specified by LAARS, the manufacturer themselves.  

Please note, I am factory trained in high efficiency boiler installaitons & repairs, including tankless boilers and water heaters and I have 25 years experience in the field. 

Ms. Miller was very upset with the anticipated costs of the repair and her entire situation. Understandably she was stressed & highly emotional, however it made working with her very difficult and I soon discovered why several contractors had come and gone.

In conclusiion, we were called in to repair a badly maintained & malfunctioning boiler and tried our very best to help this customer.   After two service calls, the installation of a B&G Dual Feeder & Relief Valve and additional hours on the phone to tech support, we were paid exactly $400.00 of the $783.87 this customer owes.   We tried every way we could to explain the process and help this customer with her difficult situation, even accepting partial payment & forgiving the balance due in an attempted compromise.  Unfortunately, the only solution this customer was interested in was a full refund, which included her keeping the installed part.
