Coast to Coast Transmission/24 HR Transmission is a total FRAUD!! On July 2, 2007, I initially spoke with Curly Brown (Sales Rep) in regards to getting an estimate on repairing my transmission. The price ($1497 with a $200 off discount bringing the total to $1297) he quoted me was too good to be true after calling around to local shops. Curly faxed me the quote to me, and I called back with questions (no answer).

On July 9, 2007, I called the same 800# that was on the quote that Curly gave, and Steve Hoffman (Sales Rep and Curly's Manger). I explained to Steve that Curly already provided a price quote to me, and then Steve told me the Curly quoted me low (Steve quoted me $1697 with the same $200 off discount totaling to $1497).

Of course I had questions after looking over the quote; he (Steve) told me that the price that I was quoted ($1497) is to rebuild my transmission, diagnostic testing, installation, towing, parts, labor, storage fee and taxes nothing more.

Once I faxed the paperwork over, Steve called me to let me know that he received my paperwork. The next day Steve called me to let me know that the corporate office could not read my ID and Credit Card information because the fax came out dark (even though everything was on the contract), so I faxed a fax to Steve and Raylynn (Corporate office).

On July 11, 2007, I received from a call from Rich (Coordinator) from Coast to Coast in regards to getting information about my car and where it is located. I told where my car was located and explained to him that the information is on the contract as while. I asked Rich where my is going he told that he will have to get that information and he will give me a call back. The next day (July 12th), I called Rich to check on the status, but he was not available. He (Rich) called me on July 13th, to let me know that my car has been picked up and taking to the mechanic shop that will be working on my car.

On July 16, 2007, I called Rich to check on the status of my car, since the money has been debited from my card. I was told by Christy that Rich was on vacation until tomorrow, so I left a message to have him give me a call. The next day came no response from Rich, so I called back this time Jeff answered the phone and had me on hold to see if someone can assist me. He came back to the phone and stated he was still on vacation and that Raylynn can assist, but she was not available, so I left a message once again.

I kept calling everyday until I finally spoke to Raylynn on July 20, 2007. She told me that Rich is no longer with the company and that she will be handling all of his accounts, and she will have to give a call back once locate my file/information.

Once again I had to call the Raylynn to get the status on my car and I kept getting the run around from everyone in the office (started calling July 23rd to July 27th) and kept being put on hold. Finally, on July 26th, I spoke with Raylynn and she said she will call me back once she speaks with the shop that has my car. Raylynn called me back, and the NIGHTMARE begins.

Raylynn told me that Dorsey Transmission is the shop that has my car and it will cost an additional $3000 for them to continue the work because my transmission needed hard parts. I asked her to fax me the paperwork with that information and told her that I would like to pick up my car, and she (Raylynn) agreed to send that information. Then she (Raylynn) told me that it they have to charge me $800 for the work that the shop (Dorsey Transmission) did. I was never told by COAST to COST that Dorsey Transmission started working on my car. I called Dorsey Transmission to see if I can get information about my car, the young lady (Teresa) told me that she could not give me that information I have to contact COAST TO COAST directly.

On July 27th, I called Raylynn to get the status of the fax that she was supposed to send me and she once again was not available and I left a message with Jeff to have Raylynn call me back as soon as possible. On July 30, 2007, I called Raylynn in regards to my car and the fax that she was supposed to send me. Once again, she was not available, and left a message for Raylynn.

Out of the blue today (July 31st), Rich gave me a call about the status of my car. A few weeks ago I was told that he was no longer with company (crazy). Rich me that was stilly with the company and he just took an extended vacation in Alaska where he could not receive service.

I basically told Rich that I want my car back and my money refunded. He said that he will have to call the shop (Dorsey Transmission) to see how much it will cost for them taking my car about, but I told in the beginning by Raylynn that I will be only charge $800 (per Rich he is still waiting for estimate from the shop). I called Dorsey Transmission to see if I can get an estimate, they would not give it to me at all even though my car is there lot.

Me and a friend went to the Dorsey Transmission to get answers, but the mechanic (Jack) and the receptionist (Teresa) refused to give me any information about my car and they kept telling that we have to call Coast to Coast about it, because they do not want to lose any business that they send their way. All in all I think Coast to Coast paid Dorsey Transmission to them quite about their (Coast to Coast) fraudlant business.

Today is now August 1, 2007, and Rich called me to see if I can work out a deal to get my car fix, I told him that I don't have the additional money. Rich even told me that my transmission is in a box and Dorsey Transmission is supposed to send it to them (Coast to Coast). I keep telling him that I want my car, but he keeps asking me that I should get my car fix and he will call the shop (Dorsey Transmission) to get an estimate and to see if I can get a good price; and I pick up the car now it would be unless. I told him I will deal that, I just want my car back, so he told me that he has to call me back with an estimate from Dorsey Transmission in regards to getting my car back. I once again called Dorsey Transmission and spoke to Teresa; she once again refused to give me information about my car.

Process with Coast to Coast and Dorsey Transmission

AUTHOR: Dorsey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Dorsey Transmission, Inc. is a third party contractor hired to perform transmission rebuild services for Coast to Coast Transmission Brokers. Coast to Coast pre-sells a soft parts repair to a customer, after which Dorsey Transmission is contacted to have the vehicle towed in and torn down to determine hard parts and labor charges. Hard parts are any parts not included in the master rebuild kit, i.e. drums, pumps, torque converters and electrical components. Dorsey Transmission must contact the customer if any of these parts are needed in addition to the soft parts overhaul. Dorsey Transmission is now under new managment and ownership. Dorsey Transmission no longer performs work for Coast to Coast Transmission Brokers.

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT COAST TO COAST/24 HR AUTO REPAIR/24 HR TRANSMISSION IS STILL A FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!! On a positive note, I spoke to the owner of Dorsey Transmission in regards to my car, and I was able to get my car back!!! I just wanted to say that the mechanic shops that COAST TO COAST send business to are victims of this SCAM as well. As consumers we need to get COAST TO COAST out off business!!!!!!!!!!!
