Husband financed a vehicle after determining that the charges were more than was agreed upon, he returned the vehicle 12 days later.  Dealer wou;d not take back so contacted Coastal of the situation they picked up vehicle 16 days later and then sold it for 4% of what was owed.  This has been 0ver a year ago.  We gave it back because we could not afford the payments and we explained this to Coastal.  Now we have a bill of $15, 644 and growing and no vehicle.  We have tried to work something out but they wont evern provide us with paperwork or find a means to reduce this.

Why???

So then, you buy this car, drive it home and THEN find out the "charges" were not as agreed?  Perhaps your Einstein husband should know the common sense thing to do is to READ the contract BEFORE you buy it!  At that point, you see what the charges are BEFORE you agree to them.  In this case, you told them you couldn't afford the car and agreed to a VOLUNTARY REPO.  They will eventually sue you for the amount owed.  All this could have been AVOIDED by using common sense and reading the contract first, then determine if those are the terms you want BEFORE you sign it!
