On July 14, 2016 my husband received a call at his job to call a man by the name of Joe Henderson at Coastline & Associates and state he had 3 hours to get back to him.  When my husband called, they recited my husband's social security number, and some personal information, as well as telling him they were collecting for an old credit card debt in the amount of $1,581.25.  They threatened legal action if he didn't comply.  So, not recalling any such debt but figuring it was a possibility, my husband called the man back the next day as he was told to do to set up a paryment arrangement.  

My husband did what I told him to do and asked for it all to be put in writing.  We almost fell for it, until we received the letter and i researched their name.  No tried and true means of collection will ever tell you that the only form of payment they will accept has to be in the form of a Debit/credit card......this is most definitely a scam.  Not only that, they don't have a website and almost all companies these days have a website and an email address, something else they didn't have.  Not only that, the letter wasn't real letterhead...it was a photo copy and so was the man's signature on the letter.
