COBRA MARKETING Cobra Marketing Agency NO THOUGHT PROCESS PLEASE, WHAT A SCAM London Nationwide

I applied for a job advertised withone of the cobra marketing agencies, only to find out the job advertised was very misleading. The advert specifically mentioned that we would be selling services, and would have to be prepared to work to company deadlines. I naturally presumed we would be talking to firms about the products they offered. I attended the first interview which was very straightforward, and passed no suprise. I had a second interview which was an observation day to judge what the job involved. I was paired with an F1 team leader and was driven to a location, however to my horror I found out that the job was actually a charity paid fundraiser. I don't have any case against people who do charity fundraiser I think its a great job, however on the job advert it did not specify this.

The observation day which started at 12:30pm and ended at 10:30pm at night. I had to walk around 64 doors and watch the F1 pitch to a customer about a charity. The F1 than tried to drum in a proven sales pitch, which I had to remember. The end of the observation day I had to do a dummy test, which I passed. I was brought back again, and I soon started to realise that cobra were trying to brainwash me.

I passed the interview stage and was brought back to the induction training day. I visited one of the other cobra offices to see how there office worked. My initial shock when walking into the office, was that it was like a cult everybody constantly had to be positive. In the first hour I had to do a role play activity, which involved a pitch however I soon realised the role play involved the five stepscript. Half way through the pitch we were stoped and the boss at the office rounded up his teamleaders for a meeting like cattle, he would play a cd track and stop it half way through, and shout out their names.

At the induction day our boss from our branch was being awarded for being the new owner of his marketing firm. I didn't question that we just clapped, and smiled, however the training day went on for 7 hours it started at 10:30 and carried on till 7:30pm. Half way through the day we were brought into a boardroom, for a talk however the boss of this firm talked for 7 hours none stop, I started to get moody. I questioned the boss about why I worked from 12:30pm till 10:30pm at night and didn't get any extra commission. The boss replied that I had too many questions and started to be verbally aggressive towards me. At one point the boss refered to me as being a recluse, and even stated that when am older I would be on the dole. I could not believe the attitude he had with me, it was understandable that after 7 hours of him talking, that I would start to lose my concentration span.

At one point in the meeting I was called a knob head and in the end I was asked to leave. I started to realise that at cobra I could not have any thought process what so ever, or if I wanted to have some negativity it was forbidden, but its human nature.
