I thought it was bad enough when I walked in my backyard and saw a lady's face peeking over my 6 ft privacy fence. She was standing on a stool with green poster board wrapped around the legs. When I stood over my side of the fence I then saw she works for code enforcement. I felt invaded and "creeped out" that I have no privacy anymore.
Now I am being told I cannot workout in my own backyard. I have a weight bench and an ab chair that she took a picture of and wrote me a ticket for. "Improper storage" she called it. I have read the code compliance list on their website and nowhere does it say I cannot have workout equipment in my backyard. It's not made of any materials that can deteriorate, so it should not qualify.
I have been harassed for months, letter after letter, consistently for something new. Now it is getting rediculous! We're buying this house from my parents who has owned it for over 40 years with no problems. We moved in and have redone almost everything you can think of. My brother lived here for 5 years before us, and he did not get letters for any of this stuff! The tree did not grow overnight, they didn't care about his trailer in the back, or the fence and in fact the back yard was literally trashed yet he heard nothing from them. So I am taking this personal.
I have called the supervisor and several other emplyees, left message after message and none of my calls have been returned. I have emailed them with my questions and concerns and still no reply.
I have 3 kids under the age of 6 and don't even feel safe anymore with no privacy. We will be paying for this house for years to come and now we dont even want to live here anymore just because of code enforcement harrassing us to the extreme and giving our children and us no privacy or allowing us to live a normal life here. I'm stressed to the max and fed up. Please help
