Coffee Fusion Double-books and stiffs their musical acts Ocean Springs Mississippi

This coffee shop has musical acts every Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the experiences are good (that is, when they are organized and don't double-book.) However, I had booked to play there 2 and a half months in advance. A month before the gig, I called again, just to verify. They said I was on the schedule and that it was all set.

Sometime between then and my gig, the booked a different act for the same night and I never would have known had I not gone to their website. I called and they refused to work with me, seeing as I was the first one scheduled. It was close to the gig time and I, being a professional musician, make my money from gigs. They refused to pay me for the lost gig.

I asked them to sign a contract for the next gig, simply stating that I agree to keep my end of the bargain, show up and perform as scheduled and that in turn, they agree to hold the spot they promise for my next gig and to pay me. They refused, stating that if they double-booked again, they don't want to owe the money. I've since heard from other musicians that they have been double booked and stiffed on money as well from Coffee Fusion.
