Cohen & Slamowitz No proof from them, but they want MY personal info! Woodbury New York

I first began getting letters from this group last fall (07) and I finally answered, explaining that I had been a victim of identity theft and that I nver did business with the company they named. They have been sending at least 1 letter/month to me saying that "they acknowledge my claim of identy theft... and that they have requested that their client and the subsequent creditor, send them supporting documentation whivh they would then give to me, but in the meantime, they are requesting a copy of my driver's license and my Social Security card!!!!!

Naturally, I am NOT going to do that, but they just keep on sending the same letter, with nothing at all from their "client". We've been like this for months. There are notices in all 3 credit reporting agencies attesting to the identity theft. Now I disovered this web site and I am worried. If anyone is planning legal action against them, please contact me so that I can be included- but HOW are we to know that all of us are on the up and up and not just someone who works for C&S who is trying to garner information about us?I am sure that more than one of us is using an alias or fake location. Now I am even MORE scared... HELP!
