Coldwell Banker Larchmont made their clients, the buyers, pay a $219,000 commission claiming buyers were the only ones represented, the seller had no agent .The almost 100 year old estate was represented as completely and painstakingly restored so the buyers paid a multi million dollar premium. But Coldwell Banker knew better in fact this same Coldwell office had represented the property in several escrows prior to representing the new buyers, including Ellen DeGeneres, who backed out because of extensive work revealed in her inspection.

Coldwell Banker concealed disclosures and inspection reports indicating a severe state of disrepair while providing the new buyers with a mountain of false and fabricated information claiming restoration of everything... Coldwell switched the buyers inspector without buyers consent.Eventually the truth revealed nothing was restored, the house was red tagged and uninhabitable.The buyers were forced to move into a hotel then an apartment for over 42 months.

Coldwell also forged the buyers initials on the arbitration provision of the purchase contract and other portions of the contract.There is an F.B.I. investigation of the escrow officer, Gail Hershowitz's and Coldwells forgery but it served as a free pass for Coldwells fraud because Coldwell compelled arbitration and claimed buyers had a duty to discover the fraud earlier than their actual discovery, claiming buyers were on inquiry notice in escrow.

The arbitrator dismissed Coldwell. No accountability for Coldwells crimes.Defendants didn't even attend the arbitration.It seemed a forgone conclusion.The buyers believe and have evidence that even their attorneys were in collusion with Coldwell and acted against buyers interests The real estate fraud div. of the D.A.s office said they understood the buyers were defrauded but didn't have time to pursue it.
