On my pay day of 12/08/2011 I noticed that my paycheck was $310 dollars short so I called my HR payroll and it was then that I was told that my wages were bing garnished by this company "NCA" & LaJuan E. Woods for $8k!!!  My HR by law has to ablige by the judgement of 25% of my check until the $8k is paid off... I WAS never informed from this company what's so ever!  They had my home address on the paperwork HR sent me a few days later but that wasn't my mailing address.  I still do not have a clue to what this $8k is from.  I NEVER had a credit card or a loan w/ this amount.

This is really scaring me!  I could be evicted if I can't come up w/ my rent of $667.  This company is literally taking my rent money.  I only have my one job and I was hospitalized in March and can't physically get a 2nd job for the $620+ they are taking from me monthly.  IF ANYONE cares to help me pro bono to figure this out - I would be very appreciative!  I've called & emailed the parties who sued me and of course their public number is always busy and I have yet to recieve a email response.  I am beyond frustrated and upset that this happened right before xmas.

You need to contact the court that rendered judgment

AUTHOR: voiceofreason - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 20, 2011

You need to contact the court that rendered judgment and get all the details from them.

Collectors have all sorts of tricks to get around notifying victims before they get such judgments.

Even if you get a lawyer to help you he could get stonewalled by them, and you could end up out a third of that 8K just to fix it, but get proactive about at least consulting with a lawyer. Don't wait for one to fall in your lap via posts like this.

Would your employer help in this matter, perhaps by having an in house or retained lawyer help out?
