College network has been a scam since day 1 but I unforntunately didn't realize it until it was too late.  I signed with them back in Spring of 2010 and they came to my trade school with a pitch about how they were partners with Excelsior and would assist me with progressing from LPN- RN.  Well they send you "modules"  (3 ring binders) (which I should also mention they charge you extra for now even though they are part of the fees you pay)  A lot of the content they have you study for is not on the exam and there is quite a bit of content not in the module that is tested.  

I financed my exam fees which on their website says you will be sent a check within 2 weeks of submitting your grade from previous exam.  Well let me say that the first few tests this was true but for the last year I have been waiting 6-12 weeks for these exam fees for which I've already been paid not to mention if you miss a payment to your loan with them they are on you instantly.  I have called, emailed and instant chatted with nurmerous emplyees and I'm always told they same answer.  We have had an influx in fee requests (really so many it take 3-4 months to process a check)  Hard to believe in todays technology that this is the case.  My guess is A. they are going under or B. they like to keep the money because they are earning interest on it and they have us that have signed contracts with our hands tied.  

I should mention that when I was finally able to apply to Excelsiors Nursing program they informed me they hae nothing to do with College Network and they prefer their students to stay far away from College Network because they are a scam.  If only I had known in time I wouldn't have wasted $6000+.  

I also have a friend who signed up with them and she actually referered a couple friends when they were offereing a $200 credit for each sucker you were able to get and she never received her credits.  

They are full of lies!!  Watch out and beware before you sign.

Again I wait

I again am waiting for my exam fee.  I financed  my exam fees so I would always have the money when I needed to pay for an exam.  Well that certainly backfired on me when I have to wait 4+ months to receive my check.  When I spoke to them this morning they tell me the wait time is 12 weeks.  Well what happen to my check it's been 20 weeks as of yesterday.  Last week when I spoke to them they informed me they were waiting on my grade for a test I took back in May.  Even though I had a confirmation email from them stating they received it and nobody ever said that they were missing anything in that 19 weeks of waiting.  How do their employees sleep at night knowing that they are scamming innocent college students just trying to inprove themselves.  I guess I will just keep in waiting.......

I don't understand

They keep responding and asking me to call them yet when I call their answer to expediting my check is I will have to wait another few weeks.  How is this assisting me or expediting?  I'm worked with Accounts payable and it takes minutes to print a check and get it signed and mailed out.  What is your process that takes 12+ weeks to print sign and mail a check? 

I'm not satifsfied nor will I be until I receive my check and my last check that I'm owed hopefully will be done in a timely manner. (College Network just so you know anything beyond 6 weeks is not timely!)  Get a clue

Customer Service? What a joke!

Yesterday College Network called me after I posted this and had requested a phone call per earlier email.  They basically told me tough luck it takes 12+ weeks right now to process checks because they have such an influx.  This is the same story they have been repeating for the last year, only a year ago they were taking 6 weeks to process.  I asked them what would happen if I just starting taking 10-12 weeks to process my loan payments and they responded with "that has nothing to do with your exam fees"  I also asked her what if the gorcery store she always went to started taking hours to check out instead of minutes would that be satisfying.  Her response "you can't compare those two situations."  Really because both are customer service related and I have given you my money but yet they think they can hold my checks for 12+ weeks.  How is this ok?  

They state on their website you can finish you degree within 18-24 months.  How is this possible when they won't give you your exam fees?  Her response was "we don't reccomend financing your fees"  Well guess what  when I signed up the Lovely scam artist of representative basically told me I had to.  I remember this well because I wasn't going to do it and he said it was a good idea so I wouldn't ever be held back due to funding.  Well guess what?  I'm having to wait due to funding!!!!!

They told me my check was on the expediated list but they could tell me what that means because in the same sentence I kept getting well there are several people ahead of you that have also been waiting.  I asked how a process that used to take less than 10 days to receive my check now takes 3-4 months.  Why change a process that is working well?  This lady had no idea how the accounting dept.  worked and refused to let me speak to someone in the dept.  It only takes me a few seconds to write a check so I'm really confused on how it takes 12 weeks for them to write one.

College Network is a scam and I can only hope and pray that others are proactive prior to signing up and look up all the info about them before signing over $6,000+ to them.  

My conversation with customer service resolved nothing and was actually more frustrating because she kept talking in circles and basically was telling me I should be patient because there is nothing they will do to speed up the process.  I'm expecting that my check will now be delayed even longer because I'm making a big stink about it.  Thankfully I only have 2 checks left and I'm done with this joke of a business.
