The phrase "high pressure sales pitch" is an under statement for these people. I made the mistake of first setting foot on their lot on 12/21/02. I was there only to look @ new cars. I told more than one employee I encountered in the Sales & in the Finance Dpts that I was not prepared, nor did I think I could afford, to buy a new car that day. Before I knew it, I was signing on the dotted line.

Very soon thereafter, I recieved a call from them "summoning" me back to "Re-Negotiate" my contract. I couldn't believe (nor could the lawyers I've discussed this with)that they actually had me sign a second contract! I even asked @ one point if I could have my old car back & get out of there. (This plea was not even acknowledged, let alone answered.)

They said they would pay-off my trade in. They sure took their sweet time doing this. As a matter of fact, they willfully took so long doing this, that I was reported to the credit agencies for late payments on the old car!!!

When I took delivery of the new car, it had a scratch that ran the length of the front bumper. They said they would be responsible for repairing this. Soon I was to discover the employees in their Service Dpt were no more friendly or supportive than the others I had the misfortune to encounter.

When I took delivery of the new car, I was offered an insurance policy that would cover the amount that my insurance Co wouldn't cover should the car be involved in an accident & rendered a total loss. I clearly stated I was not interested in this. I was surprised to find out I had no choice in whether or not to accept this added expense!

To all listed above, be glad I did not post your phone numbers!

I also feel that when this dealer called you to come back to the dealer to "Renegotiate" what I really FEEL they were really telling you is

"Hey we hire dumb asses in our F&I department and they screwed up and we need you to sign a new contract, they are "GREEN PEAS" and they do not understand what banks want to process a auto loan.

Or I feel that when they used the term Renegotiate what they really meant was,

"Hey our F&I department screwed up and did not make enough backend profit" We want to make more backend gross off of you and we want you to agree to a higher interest rate, so our F&I people will get a bigger pay check. We hope that you will agree to bend over.

Car dealers call this situation a "SPOT DELIVERY"or a "YANK" dealers do this because they know that no banking commissioner will anything about it.

As far as this dealer telling you that you "HAVE TO BUY" the Insurance Police or the bank would not to the deal. That is a FAT LIE. The F&I guy told you this because he wanted a fatter commission check.

Ask any dealer's F&I CLOWNS when signing any documents to show you some documentation that states you MUST buy an insurance policy or a bank will not do the deal.
